I dont understand why people call sports games casual trash....

This game has a VERY hardcore following everywhere except one country (USA)....

So not all sports games are casual...

i think it might be the yearly installments with no changes except for updated rosters/stats and ocasionally graphics/gameplay tweaks, but overall, the newest madden, plays just like madden 98'shadow_hosi

Thats your personal preference...tell me why people fill teh stadiusm or flok around a tv to watch a sports game? Why they dont go out and play?

i agree that pro evo is more hardcore than most sports games. but its casual fanbase is what really drives the game.

Who cares if anyone here thinks sports are hardcore? I love Madden always have and I love Orange Box, I love ICO from PS2, I even love HALO. The term "hardcore" is the stupidest thing said around here! Khansoul

Well I wouldnt call the people that play PES as casuals since although they play only this game they devote time to it thats comparable to WoW players...its the only console game that i know that casuals dive deep into its knowledge since its representing the most popular sport on teh planet...and hardcore football fans are more than numerous...

i do believe sports games have a big following in the casual market, but hey, so does halo! that doesn't make halo "casual" to me, since i play at a level the casuals don't. if you take sports games seriously, they are by no means casual to you, and that's what matters.

I cannot wait to get Fifa 08. I know everyone sayd PES is betterbut I only tried it once on the Xbox and the graphics and gameplay turned me off. Deihmos

Thats because PES=PS3 I hate it but its true...Plus you should try the PES2008 demo its heads above PES6 Xbox360...

why would you play a sports game when you can go outside and play that sport. the reason i play shooter games is because i can't go outside and start shooting random people or aliens. the reason i play rpg's is because i can't have an adventure in a fantasy world in real life.mistervengeance

1. Not everyone can find people who want to do it. Mabye your friends don't care about the sport you want to play.

2. Mabye you are not that great at the sport.

3. Out of shape.

4. Playing a video game version of a sport is a totaly different experience than actualy doing it. It's like trying to compare paintballing to fps games.

I played it once on the xbox and the graphics were bad since at the time I was playing Fifa 06 in 720P on the xbox.It was Winning eleven 8 and it had no online play and no HD. I thought it was just bad compared to Fifa and never played another since.
