Poor PSP.
Remeber when people were all excited about it and the graphics and stuff? Now it's fate is just like the PS3. Poor thing.

..but...but.."TEH URBAN NOMADZ"...!!!
it's not like it's a surprise... the psp never really stood a chance...
stupid sony...:(
Why does a "fad" have more AA games than the DS and the same amount of AAAs?Finale-
dont even try to argue. you will not win . i agree , i have a ds but do not use it nearly as much as the psp
Why does a "fad" have more AA games than the DS and the same amount of AAAs?Finale-
Because the analogue sucks and nobody is buying them. Except me, and i sold mine, so that is two people who definately had a PSP.

actually i have a psp and i played 5 people online erlier. so that is 8 people who had a psp.
if by fad yopu mean it really only appeals to people who either like portable console games/ multimedia all in one users then sure
so is the Iphone
i cant really bash the DS because that would make me a hypocrate...besides i have nothing "against" it, i just own a psp and play it, ive had it for a year and a half now.... sometimes ill play it none stop, sometimes i wont touch it, but i know i got my moneys worth out of it (got it as an x-mas present)

PSP has moved more than 20 million units so far, without a redesign. Not too bad at all really. How well was DS really doing before Lite came out last year? I know I had a hard time with DS for the forst year and a half because it was heavy, ugly and had a crap library. PSP was the same for me until recently (Software wise at least)...
As an owner of both, I can appreciate what both systems offer. I personally play my PSP more because the games are generally deeper and longer lasting affairs than DS software.
Since I played through Phantom Hourglass, my DS is only being used 5-10 minutes a day to "play" Brain Training 2.
Its a good thing I can enjoy things no matter what people think or say about them.
Bread_or_Decide
i agre 100 percent. people act like the psp is such a horrible system that no one likes but that is not the case. some people even call it the aorst handheld of all time. if i enjoy something then i do not care what others think about it.
I'd only buy a PSP for the exclusives. Such as Metal Gear Solid PO, since I missed out on MGS3online.
But I have to say the analog stick does suck, a friend of mine lets me play his and yeah the layout hurts my hand when trying to use the shoulder buttons at the same time, and none of the games are really worth anything since they're all remakes or ports.

I don't get it. The beauty of the PSP is I can be playing, let's say Crush or Traxxpad on the bus to my friend's house, then when I get there I can hook it up to his 360 and stream MP3 files from my memory stick, I can stream content from my PS3 halfway accross town or order a pizza online. I can download content for my games, seamlessly play online against anyone I want, etc.
How is that downhill? I call it progress. Just because it has "other" features doesn't make it any less of a great gaming machine.

nope its downhill and regressive simply because he doesnt like that a handheld gaming machine can do anything other then play games, basicly the exact opposite as to why you think its progressive, i mean the only way to be progressive is stay the exact same way forever...

I don't necessarily care if it has other features than playing games, it's just that it's whole gaming aspect sucks because of everything else on it.

i have never heard of the gaming side suffering as a direct cause of its other features. . i enjoy the psp as a whole.

i find the 6 games i have for it PLUS all the other junk it can do quite entertaining...and to say that because it can do something other then gaming = sucky games just doesnt make sense...now im none to happy with just one analog nub, but for the most part it works
it was used to get a foothole in the handheld marketcoolasj19
It was initially supposed to crush the DS.
It didn't.
So the best it can hope for now is set up a nice 20+ mil fanbase for the PSP2.

Seriously, how does storing MP3s or JPEGs on a memory stick or having a built-in browser make the gaming aspect suck?
Do the 333 MHz processor and 16:9 LCD screen hurt anything? Last I checked, the main problem with PSP was battery life, not it's function as a gaming device.

It's lack of games that aren't just ports and the design of the system itself for playing the games.

playstaion. playstaion 2 has a dvd player and ps3 has a browser and music capabilties. whats your point?

but you said the other aspect other then playing games makes playing games such when the only thing that really makes playing games such is the design...not functionality of the psp

Ok, right now on PSP I'm playing Crush, Traxxpad, Pursuit Force and Tales of the World. Are any of those available on another system?
People really have to let go of the "port arguement". I'm actuallly playing more ports on my DS right now: Hoshigami Remix & SimCity DS

OMG, look who's talking!
what? the worth of any console or handheld is the use you get out of it .if i use it for something other then gaming , so what? i still use it and get entertainment out of it. i have a ds but play it evry once in a while. is it a good system(ds) ? of course it is. does its worth differ from person to person? yes. is it as good as people say it is? yes, but not to me.
[QUOTE="Trading_Zoner"]A fad? No, that's the Wii.
It's still selling pretty well. The sales are rising actually.

So is the Wii.
Yet I still think Wii is a fad.

Then why are we having this conversation of you are just going to yell?
i have a psp and use it daily. the games are alight and are really fun.pintabear49blue
Using it daily just proves the point it's not a portable system, (unless you ride a train every single day and have enough time to actually play games) it's just a watered down PS2.
