I give up on Sony. Sorry.

I started gaming with Sony, and Sony was good to me. PS1, PS2, PS..P..kind of.., I started to realize that maybe Sony was going downhill after buying a PSP on launch and playing nothing for a year.

I want to like my PS3, I really do. If the next generation started when they said it would, I would miss out on titles like Geow and the like. I've said to myself numerous times, "It'll get better..it has a lot of potential!". Problem is, so did PSP. And we all know how that went. Yeah, I'm going to buy Uncharted, but that's pretty much it that they have for this holiday season. Whereas the Xbox 360 has AAA's left and right (exclusives, even..).

To put things in perspective, I was a cow. And I am now recovering. I bought a $660 CDN paperweight movie player. People, embrace me, get me through this process of acceptance that, you know what? Sony really isn't the God of gaming. And I'm not any kind of fanboy anymore, I'm just not playing with Sony and their arrogance anymore. This isn't to rile up cows, just to respectfully drop out of the Sony guild.

I feel no sympathy for someone that wastes their money on a product that they are not completely sure of. Personally, I stand by my purchases fully because I know it wont go to waste. I will do so with my 360 whenI eventually buy one and my PC that I'm building will be no different. As I already said, I dont feel sorry for those who waste their money. Tough luck. Deal with it.

Not sure posting this on SWars is the best idea. A blog would have been more suitable.

But your not the first to lose faith with Sony. Most 360 owners once owned a PS2 as well.

I for one have bought all Sony consoles on release and have always been a Massive Sony fan. They brought so much into my life but then you realize that its the games that are special not the consoles. So the Ps3 is released and I have not found it in me to buy one yet. I can borrow my brothers for now adn thats enough.

MS are good at the moment, hardware issues aside its been an amazing console for me as its brought me numerous great games and plenty of good games. Funny thing is it feels and reminds me of the PSx and PS2.

Everything about PS3 seems wrong at moment. the total graphic importance and BR/Cell shaningens. PS2 & PS1 lost the graphics departments but they won with innovation and gameplay. (Home & LBP have potential but I'm not buying into them til they are out.) People who have too much faith in a product are mugs I tell thee. MUGS...

But grab a 360 for now... It has 2/3 years of great games to comeand I think it will take the PS3 at least 2 years to really have any chance of superceeding X360. And with the cheap library now you can pick up bargains like DRising, Kameo, Hitman,Lost Planet, Crackdown or Saints Row. Great deals out there....

PS3 will be much cheaper end of 08 trust me... Mines coming then.

Unreal Tournament 3 = AAA

Haze = Potential AAA

And besides, there's really no reason to play Halo when the best FPS out right now is multiplat(CoD4). Halo is overrated like crazy.

Why wouldn't you consider it AAA. I will agree with you on UT3, but R&CFToD is def a AAA game, it is not mario, but it is fun as all hell and in the end that is what matters.

R&C is one of the best games of this year and part of one of the best platformer series' ever.

Unreal on the PS3 has Keyboard/Mouse support, and mods, just like the PC version. Anyway it doesn't matter because we're comparing UT3 on consoles(where 90% of people play games).

FPSs are known for being better on PC. Just like CoD4.

Even if there's a few things wrong with/in PS3, it looks all the more appealing in comparison, as 360 titles keep rolling on to the PC.
'Console exclusive' doesn't really say much.
Sony has done a better job keeping their exclusives.. well, exclusives.

Seems like some people buy Sony consoles coz its Sony and they remember them fondly. Sony isnt a friend or family member they are a company who wanna rip your money from your pocket like MS and Ninty.

The PS3 has sooo many things that have grated me that even with great looking games like R&C, Uncharted, Haze, MGS4 among others I at the earliest will pick one up in 2008.

As a complete gamer anybody who just refuses to buy a console coz of their allegiance is very sad. Anybody who has the option of owning a 360 should right now. Its my opinion of course but I'm not blinded by fanboyism like some are at the moment.

The PS3 has time on its side and its gonna take me that time before I plump down hard cash for one. Hopefully at the end of this gen Sony will be again winning but will have lost a fair few million owners and will put Gamers/developers first with PS4 and not Formats ortheir own priorities.

But I honestly don't have a reason to own a 360, I have a PC, a Wii, and a PS3. I don't need to play Halo, I am not a fan of the series, even though I finished it on my roomies 360, I didn't think it was that great, Bioshock on the PC, Mass Effect, well I don't like WRPG's, Gears of War, played it a little and didn't really get into, maybe I will give it another shot on my PC. Seriously I would say, what exactly do I need a 360 for. Not to mention it DOES have hardware problems, and as I have said before, I will get one when I see a game that I must have, and I will probably just water cool the 360 to fix the hardware problem.

Everyone here know that I am the biggest 360 fanboy ever but NO console is as good as the PS3 in terms of Media capabilities.Sure,it might not have the greatest and the most games but it theoretically can do what any other PC can do.It's absolutely incredible.And the games are coming.MGS4,Heavy Rain,Uncharted,Ratchet and Clank,Warhawk,Resistance,ECT.All I did for the past year was talk crap about my PS3 and Praised my Wii but now that tables have turned.The Wii is just so disappointing.It is such a boring console.It's really just sad for Nintendo which I love.The DS is incredible but my Wii has not been turned on since I got MP3.And I only got to 5% in that game.Now that I look at all my games I realize that I have not finished one of my Wii games.

People may write me off as another fanboy but please don't.I have owned all three consoles since launch or little after launch so I have had them for a while.And my PS3 was shunned for a while while I praised the wii and never played it.Keep your PS3.

I got the Wii launch day and after a month it really feel like a gamecube.The controls really only make a noticeable difference in party and mini-games.While playing Zelda it just felt like a regular controller.My point is that why buy the wii for SSBB when the exact same game could have been done on the gamecube? The gamecube was capable of online play.And SSBB does NOT use the wii remote for anything cool.Thats my point.The Wii feels like a Gamecube with a peripheral.I beg you,do not get rid of your PS3 to get a Wii.Please.

and it's doubtfull to say the least that Haze will even get AAA. Hands on reports speak of unimaginative generic level design with bland and uninspired art direction. that doesn't sound like they were going nuts for it.
