I think the game is awesome i waited since august to get it because some problems with my 360 but i finally got it, and i think its awesome i love the music , enviroments and i actually like the characters , yes i love anime and i like the blue dragon anime.
I love JRPG (obviously) and Anime, and I found BD to be an overly boring experience. Of the three JRPG on the Xbox 360 I would only recommend Eternal Sonata to most people.

Blue Dragon is a fairly good game as a JRPG fan. It definitely doesn't do too much different but it's a good JRPG that takes alot of time. Gameplay is fun and so on. Eternal Sonata is an incredible game and much better though IMO. I'm glad i have a 360 for that one seeing as the PS3 version is Japan only. Eternal Sonata's battle system is phenomenal. Not much replay value but it is so much fun to play.

Man I'm glad I got the DS when I had the chance, I love me some Rpgs and we are getting plenty of them. I can't wait for this game and I hope ASH and the Tales game crosses the pond soon.

I only buy handhelds for RPGs and I am still waiting for one to catch my interest. Golden Sun and Golden Sun 2were the last rpgs I played on a Handheld. I only played two because not many were interesting to me.

I understand. I would only playone if it was more visual and I actually had some control over what happens.

I'm enjoying the game. I wouldn't have payed much for it, and I didn't, as it is definitely a pretty average experience as far as RPG's go, but still, it is pretty fun. I like the job system for the shadows quite a bit, I just wish they would gain better and more interesting abilities. I've looked at the full skill listings and it is very tame.
Blue dragon is a great jrpg,but it's nothing particularly special,the character development is weak and the story overall a bit meh,but it's gr8 nevertheless.

i found it better the further i got into the game. I played it in Japanese, that was the main selling point for me. An rpg in Japanese how i could i reffuse :D

Blue Dragon and LO are not so interesting for me. But, Infinite Undiscovery.... God I love Tri-Ace games. I definitely have to play that.
LO interests me just because it looks reaaaaly nostalgia. But Infinite Undiscovery does look like it could shape up to be something quite epic. Although i doubt an english version wont be out till 2009.
It's an underrated JRPG. I think the critics berated the hell out of Blue Dragon to say to Uematsu, Toriyama, and Sakaguchi, "This is unacceptable coming from you guys. Try harder next time." It's not a bad game, but don't expect to be "Wowed" by it. If you could only choose between Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata, go for Sonata. The combat system is a lot of fun.
Considering it's made by the guy who made Chrono Trigger you'd expect it to be a really great game but no it's not, BD is a really generic lackluster RPG.

I thought the same thing about the game and I was looking forward to Sakaguchi first project since he left Square. Got it when I picked up my 360 and sold after the second day. Eternal Sonata on the other hand was great I played the demo I probably won't pick it up untill it comes out on the PS3. But I hope LO comes through I have hopes for it.
Blue Dragon is the definition of "Old School" which is why I am not surprise that many of the teenieboppers really seem to dislike it, its a long game which takes it time in unravling the storyline because it has the times to do so.
By the time I finally put the game away I had logged well over 50 hours of gameplay.
However Eternal Sonata does have its charm as well and may be worth a look once you are finished BD

There are plenty of "Old School" JRPGS I like, BD is a load of crap, it's just really generic. Nothing special about it at all.

Blue Dragon is one of my favorite games of the year. It's a great throwback to old-school JRPGS with some great, unique ways to lower the grind time (field barrier). I would recommend starting out on hard mode (download the pack off live) because without it the game is extremely easy IMO.
