I didn't want to buy rated M games. I expressed no interest in them whatsoever. My mom thought it was unnatural so she came up and offered to buy me any rated M games without tons of sexuality (go figure). So now I have Cod4 , AssC, HItman4, and will soon get Bioshock Halo and Gears :)
responsibility = good
[QUOTE="asdasd"][QUOTE="xjet039"]i would like to be able to buy mature games but i cant because im a lame 16 year old, it sucks meaning no halo 3 ,gta 4, bioshock. but luckily i have parents.Tylendal
Go to a fastfood joint and a job.. I made 125$ a week when I was 16.
I'm trying to get a job at Thrifty Foods (Local B.C. chain). Not going anywhere at the moment, but the manager has noticed that all the Ventures and Scouts that he has working for him are really good workers, so that's a point in my favour. Once I get a job maybe I'll finally be able to get that 360 I want, and some new Wii games.I've been working at a Canadian Tire in Coquitlam,BC for almost a year now. Thrifty Foods turned me down when I applied.
if u r 16 and have a license u should be able to buy a mature gamenice13jSo I guess Rated R should be lowered from 17 to 16, the drinking age reduced to the driving age, lets move gambling down to the driving age, hell adult movie business as well as voting too.
you dont want to grow up trust me,,,,,
I used to think like you, but once you grow up and get money to play games, then....
its job responsibility, family responsibility, educating yourself, working for your future, you worry too much about rent and health care. As a kid your worst of your worries is your math exam. As an adult, you can get to a state where you are left poor, hungry, and homeless on a moist street.
Enjoy whatever game you have now, because when you are older, sure you can buy them all...you just wont have time to play them or appreciate them. Some might disagree, but they know it deep down their harts....it was much more fun playing them younger and worryless.
where do you by from? i easily bought m rated games as a 16 year old. if somewhere won't let you buy a game, announce obnoxiously where you're going next and say they always let you buy games there and you'll give your money to them for it. not directly to the salesperson but in good earshot.
If with a friend: "Dude let's go to (game store) to get it. They always let us buy m rated games. I guess this place doesn't want our money anyways"
:)
Lots of harsh criticism from everybody, but I sympathize with the guy. I remember being 14 and buying GTAIII, and a host of Mature rated games over years when I shouldn't have, fortunately - or unfortunately, depending on who you ask - those ERSB ratings weren't enforced stricktly back then, but I do feel for those who can't get their hands on a good game.
