The number one reason I like the PS3 and the Sony products is they don't milk the consumer on something everyone else does for free.jimm895I totally agree. Paying $40 for a demo is defiantely not milking.
no it doesn't, not on every game. I could also say 360 has dedicated servers. It's up to game dev's, nothing to do with PSN or XBLOGTiagobut we all know they dont, unless its a MMO. but psn all games are dedicated if they have MP. :)

Learn something before talking. GT has always had prologues. They've sold them before. This is something new to System Wars I guess. This isn't a demo either, it's a prologue. You get a ton of cars+features+online+tracks. That's no demo. It's for hardcore GT fans. Noone forces you to pay for it like they do for GOLD.
And yes, I love PSN. Dedicated servers are amazing. In CoD4, they'll patch it though and add host migration so the next best connection becomes host. I'm 100% sure this is for the PS3 but I don't know about the 360.

One example is COD4, which is p2p; I know it's hard to notice, but... zomg it should lag because p2p

It's a demo. The same content can be found in the full version of the game.[QUOTE="Aljosa23"]I totally agree. i don't think sales would be very good if it was called "Gran Turismo 5: DEMO"
Half if not all of the PS2 games with online play has gone offline already. So you always gotta worry about the PSN walking that same route and PS3 games with online play has a good chance to go offline sooner once the traffic dies down while 360 games with online play will continue forever.

They have taken games offline for Xbox as well. That proves nothing. Secondly at least PS2 owners can go back an play those games if they want without paying for it. 6 or 7 years from now when X360 isn't that hot anymore and you want to go back and play Gears, guess what you can't unless you pay MS their fee to do so.

how can you hate a less defective/more powerful system? GARRYTH
Same reasons I think it's only ok.
PS3 is NOT the better system. Simple fact the XMB is horrible, PSN is a joke and so is it's store. The exclusive games are either average to below average, Blu-Ray is nothing more then a financial trustfund for Sony and the sheer STUPIDITY of the company over the past two years. More powerful and less defective or not I'll stick with the 360 as my main console because in my opinion and hands on expierences trumps the PS3 in almost every category that matters for a home videogame console. I've had mine since Christmas and I think I turned it on MAYBE 5 times since then and two times was because two of my friends wanted to "see it". The others were 20 minute game sessions. I'd rather play CoD4 online for 360 with my friendsover ANY PS3 exclusive game

No it doesn't. PSN only does it for games that are...popular like Resistance for example. Everything else is terrible. Do you think Sony has a dedicated server for Team Fortress (only 80,000 sold), UT3 (140,000). I can barley find people to play on these games including Rainbow Six. I not sure about Warhawk though. It hasnt sold well, but has a good online community.
cod4 on ps3 has no dedicated servers.
the difference is less people online which allows the p2p to run more effeciently than it would with the load that xbox lvie has
and better p2p code.. plainly

Dedicated Servers. I hate the fact that almost every xbox live game is peer to peer. This ruins alot of games expeirence. For example, Gears of War has a huge host advantage when ping is involved. Also, it sucks in call of duty 4 when the host is getting his arse handed to him and he decides to quit and the whole game ends. Why does xbox live not support dedicated servers?Kidtendo
