I hate Ubisoft

I have a confession to make (no, I'm not gay). I own Ass Creed 1, 2, 3 and 4, and I forced myself to finish only the second one. I even have Black Flag installed on my PC, but I couldn't make myself to start it and play. Something bores me about every AC game out there.

But every AC trailer they make is so damn awesome I must buy the damn game. To not play it. So there it is. I'm an idiot.

This latest trailer is so damn good it forces me to buy the game, and I hate Ubisoft because of that.

What about you guys? Did you finish every Ass Creed game to date?

I bought 1 and 2. Felt one was poor, felt the 2nd one was better and had fun, but doesn't have any staying power with me. The gameplay is too shallow for anything other than mindless fun and Ezio being cheesy enough to make that super serious Ass Creed shit story entertaining. Played and beat Brotherhood (rental). Checked out on the franchise while play Ass Creed 3.

At this point I rent them to see if they will ever make a version I like again, because otherwise the series has gotten stale as shit. Certainly wouldn't spend the 60 bucks on Unity, that shit could go to more interesting indie games, or something like Evil Within, Alien, Shadow of Mordor, etc.

ass creed 2/brotherhood were good but i left the franchise after the shitfest that is ass creed revelations. that game litereally drained all the excitement i once had for the franchise and now i just cant get hyped for ass creed game ever again. thing that always annoyed me was how stupid the ai was, they all wait around to be killed.

Watch Dogs was the last Ubisoft game ill ever purchase. The only thing Ubisoft does well is disappoint.

They criminalize their fanbase, make shoddy ports, and overall don't strive to make quality games to begin with.

I've got 1,2,revelations,4 and have only finished 4. All the rest bore me to no end. I hate Ubisoft for the Rayman debacle, and now for the Watch Dogs crap they pulled, they are a scum company.

I've bought three and have come no where close to finishing any of them. I won't be fooled again!

Yeah, just to make things clear, half of AC games I bought were on sale. Except for AC 2 (collector's edition with that Ezio statue) and AC 4 (Skull Edition).

I've finished all of them except for Liberation because of a game-breaking glitch and the PSP game because like that was worth it.

I think they're all a ton of fun, save 1 and 3 which had their problems. The new one looks pretty good but I'll be holding off picking it up till it's cheaper.

I bought the original game when it was released and disliked it(So much I never finished it). I never bothered with the series from that point onwards.

I only bought AC2, then realized it was infected with Uplay, then stopped buying Ubisoft games on PC, period

I finished all but 4. The first game was pretty disappointing, but at least I could say it was almost a good game. AC2 was one of the better games of last gen. Brotherhood was great, Revelations and 3 were both ok, and 4 was just bad.

Let's just say I'm looking forward to my free copy.

I agree completely glad to see someone else feels the same, I completed AC2 and now I am unable to play them because I dread even the loading screen. I'll still buy Unity just because it looks good, sigh.

honestly, they need to release an AC game in our current timezone. that would be fun... and no watch dogs doesn't count ladies

They're not for everyone. I, on the other hand, have them all and I've played them through several times and enjoyed every last one of them. I'm a history nerd so it's really fun to explore all the historical locations and meet some historical characters. And I just like their mix of real history and alternate history.

I thought AC4 was wonderful. None of that "THE ONES BEFORE US" bullshit. Just a story about Edward Kenway. Him, from becoming a pirate, to finding a life fit for him and his girl.

It worked for me. I like Ezio, but I found his story to be a bit beaten up by the whole sci-fi thing. Not a fan of it.

I hated Asscreed 1, loved 2. Played 3, got bored. Haven't finshed 4. Unity seems like it will be good though.

Your're part of the problem. If you dislike these games so much, you shouldn't be buying them.

I've never been able to get into the series. The controls bother me considerably. Even Shadow of Mordor annoys me a bit with its AssCreed like platforming, although it does it better.

then why even buy them after the first 2 games? I made the mistake getting AC2 full price after been bored to death with 1 ( to AC2 credit though it was more interesting than 1 and i did enjoy it for 5-6 hours before starting getting boring again )

I have to make a confession also... I have never completed Assassins Creed and all I do is use the game to climb things.

Unity looks like it has a lot of things to climb with impressive views so I will get it day one.

They do have quite a few good games ( on pc that i know of ). The problem is the way the treat their customers

They still publish Anno a great series ( though i would gladly have another publisher for the series since they messed up the launch of Anno 2070 ) and Far Cry 3/FC 3 blood dragon that are pretty solid . They also have trackmania IP and they did great with South park IP. But those few games aside i dont care about any of their stuff

Well I don't dislike AC games completely. They all have something awesome to start playing them, but after a while they just start to bore me.

I did finish AC2, but I believe AC4 is the best title in the franchise. But I just can't make myself to start playing it...

I always loved them for Rayman... but now that I think about it every other game they have made has been boring.

Overall yeah not so great. and uplay sucks.

1 was ok, 2 and brotherhood were fantastic games, everything after that is crap.

Assassin's Creed II was amazing.

No, I don't buy Ubisoft's annualized AC games. I think they suck.

I have no plans to buy this year's Assassin's Creed game either.

Never got into Ass Creed ..so never bought it..watched my bro in law playing it & doesn't look like its my type of game. :P

While I enjoyed post AC2 games like Brotherhood was it felt like AC2 DLC turned into a full price game by adding multiplayer, and Revelations also felt like a short game lacking of content rushed to fill an annual release deadline, AC3 also felt this way, after that I gave up and didn't bother with Black Flag. They make games that only take a year to put out and peopl eat it up. I won't give up on the series entirely, but I'll wait until the games are like $20 or less before I do so. I can get Black Flag for like $15 on Amazon I've been meaning to get it, I'll wait until next year when Unity is cheap before playing it. Ubisoft doesn't deserve my money if they're just going to rush annual releases.

3, 4, and Watch Dogs had great trailers too. All benefit of the doubt is gone for Ubi.

I rented AC2 and finished it...but never have liked Ezio.

A year or so after revelations and Brotherhood, I finally played them...but I don't recall finishing either one....thats how engaged in them I was.

Have AC3 installed on my PC but still haven't finished it.

LOVE AC4....but it's the kind of game that I dont' want to finish to quicly....so I play it a little at a time.

Unity and the other one coming out....probably will not buy until they are cheap...as I'm not a huge AC fan.

Last Ubisoft game i bought was From Dust, will not make the mistake of buying another Ubisoft game.

My god! I am not alone! I kicked the habit after AC3. I have finishe the first and struggled through the almighty second. Its just not exciting to me, but I get caught up in the hype and pop culture love of the series. Only to remember a few hours in, that I don't care about it. Never bought AC4. The cycle is broken. Recovery is possible, my friend
