I have a question for the people that love to compare graphics:

Are you really paying attention to them in game? Are you really concentrating on every possible detail while your shooting your opponent?

Graphics are good for getting that "oooo, aaaaah, I wanna play this", but when you actually start playing, do you really care?

depends, if they suck hard, then yes, i notice. if they are amazing, yes i notice. honestly i notice things like AI and Physics quite a bit more. im a large advocate of those 2 things in games, and i think it should be a main focus since graphics will come at this point no matter what.

Well in any racing game I have played they do matter.. ..A good one would be Test Drive Unlimited as I drive around in the game the graphics blow me away..It looks to me like I am driving around in Hawaii..

depends, if they suck hard, then yes, i notice. if they are amazing, yes i notice. honestly i notice things like AI and Physics quite a bit more. im a large advocate of those 2 things in games, and i think it should be a main focus since graphics will come at this point no matter what.

ive played geow and that supposedly has the best graphics currently out for any system and i didnt notice at all, i was concentrating on the boring multiplayer.

i dont consider gears to have amazing graphics, it has nice looking models, and the draw distances are good, but nothing amazing, especially after seeing Crysis.

So you're saying, "I do notice the graphics, but it's not a big issue for me."?

its an issue if they are terrible. i have problems playing ugly games unless they are just utterly amazing in all the other areas. even then i have problems doing so. im trying to say the graphics are going to be coming no matter what, but physics and AI are not a guarantee, as can be seen by Gears, great models, terrible physics and AI

yes in fact i do look at the graphics almost constantly...

Still to this day when i play half-life 2 i just look around at everything, just because it looks so real, whether you want to admit it or not graphics do matter.

When im playing a game with great graphics i find myself just looking around at things and being amazed, and when i play my Wii im just looking around for things that look half-way decent just to try to convince myself that Wii was actually worth my money..

You cant deny that graphics matter...a great looking game adds so much to a game. It still needs gameplay, but incredbile graphics take it to another level..
