The actual racing is alot more fun, in forzas online 95% of the people use assisted braking, steering which takes the fun out of it. They automatically have a boost while im actually trying with advanced settings. Driving through weather and day night adds atmosphere in gt5. In forza the turns completely suck, you almost have to come to a complete stop to turn which is unrealistic. Gt5 has an amazing soundtrack adding to the experience. Gt5 has a better sense of speed, when going 200 mph in fprza it looks like your going 80 lol. As an owner of both GT5 wins. Edit: one more thing, GT5 is more challenging, i can finish forza 4 in a day and finish 1st place in every race because the dumb AI crashes into a wall on the final turn every race. GT 5 takes more time and skill to finish and buying cars takes more effort.

It's like comparing a sock to a glove, I live in Arkansas, so everyone agrees that socks are better, but the odd folk likes gloves better.

horrible ... analogy is horrible. GT5 and FM4 have a lot more in common than a glove and a sock ...(!?)

Forza is a better game. That is a fact, it has better features and better online.

GT5 is considered more hardcore though. Doesn't make it better, the game has been ignorant on pretty much all the advances in gaming besides graphics. The online functionality is bare bones compared to Forza

I agree that everything about GT5 feels like bare bones, no sense of campaign flow, online is basic, etc.

But the driving is simply better in GT5. Also tracks and sounds are more accurately reproduced. That's what makes GT5 a better racing simulator, even if the ouside package is more dated.

Although I havent played Forza 4, I would assume that on a strictly face off on a track, GT5 would win.

Thats the thing. If you like more hardcore, go get GT5 (had a massive price drop, I might pick it up actually) but if you just want the better game Forza 4 is the way to go

How is it more complete? Because theirs a british guy saying the same thing before every race? "next we go back to japan for the 50th time". Please im still playing gt5 and i got bored with forza after a week.

That made you mad? Cmon bro. I'm not going back and forth in ANOTHER Forza vs GT thread just look at my post history if you want my opinions on both games. Good luck.

Granted I haven't played Spec 2.0...but the racing in GT5 felt so robotic and dead.... Forza's AI are overly aggressive, but at least it feels like they're trying to win rather than just lapping the track.

I own both.. and Forza4 > GT4

GT5 and Forza3 was a much closer call imo, but overall Forza4 is the best racing game ever for me (passing my old #1 which was GT2 and 2nd which was Forza3)

Ummm no. I have both as well and Forza wins easily. Turn off the assists and Forza is very challenging and fun. I wish people would quit talking about weather effects. The weather effects in GT are horrible. The framerate drops terribly during the weather effects. Not to mention the screen tearing (which they will never fix) and 7000 standard cars. The driving in both games are good but neither of them are simulators or whatever. If you want a real simulator, drive your car down the street. As an overall game, Forza wins.

To those saying forza flopped it only didnt sell well because people like me who put 128 hours into forza 2 and 100 into forza 3 didnt want to put all that time into alonther game that only had a few new tracks, which is understandable since the games only use real world tracks. Forza 4 does everything better and is the better game though.

I played both, and I found that the overall style and turns in general are much easier in Forza 4 than GT5 (which gives the impression that it's more realistic IMO). Plus the constant creaking of the tires when you just make one tiny turn in GT5 :x

And thanks ;) changing the font and making it darker fixed everything :P

Fair enough, generally when I ask that question I get something along the lines of the rewind feature makes it arcade :P

I'd rather not play a game where my screen starts getting extremely blurry and my character makes bed noises when the car is going 150mph on a race track that's not even that big :P

GT5's photo mode is superior and it has night racing. Other than that, Forza 4 is better in every way.

GT5 has a superior physics engine and is more for the hardcore car lover. Forza has a superior online setup and is the more accessible and arcadey game.

as i will say take off the standard steering and put on the simulation steering system in Forza along with a few of the TCS stuff and that and its just as realistic as GT5.

GT5 flopped harder.

Strangely outside SW, Forza has never been as big a franchise ever despite being the better one this gen.Still strangely it outscored GT5 aswell mind you cow's will try anything to make it look like GT5 wasnt an unfinished mess.

GT5 flopped harder.

Strangely outside SW, Forza has never been as big a franchise ever despite being the better one this gen.Still strangely it outscored GT5 aswell mind you cow's will try anything to make it look like GT5 wasnt an unfinished mess.

both were hyped AAA, both got AA however F4 outscored GT5 by a half a point, but both still fopped the same A-AA-AAA rating scale

true but 2 Forza games are still technically the kings if we go on the flop system and averaging Forza's had 3 games this gen and so has GT and all have flopped which is not a good sign.

this is a direct comparison of GT5 to F4, not the whole franchises

[QUOTE="Deniable_Ops"]GT5 has a superior physics engine and is more for the hardcore car lover. Forza has a superior online setup and is the more accessible and arcadey game.razgriz_101

as i will say take off the standard steering and put on the simulation steering system in Forza along with a few of the TCS stuff and that and its just as realistic as GT5.

Not true. I play both games with similiar settings and GT5 still has more realistic physics. Not sure if you know but even with all the assists off, people on youtube have PROVEN forza4 still uses some hidden assist to keep you on the track. The ONLY thing I keep on in both games is ABS at 5, both games I use a wheel and both games I use manual transmittion (sometimes with clutch in F4, depends). GT5 is def the "harder" game with all the assists off...you almost have to drive perfect to get around the track with the average times that are usual for those courses. I mean cmon I hang around the official F4 forums and I see people on a regular basis (new to the series and with a controller) beating PRO driver track times...how realistic can that be?? Dont get me wrong, the game is PHENOMOENAL and I love it and willl last me until F5 just like F3 lasted me until F4. Just sayin' there is a difference between the two.

cant comment on forza 4...but gt5 is definitely better than forza 3 and in turn better than forza 1 - 2 (considering forza 3 is better than those)

Nope.

The only thing I can agree with you upon is what you said about online races. It's annoying that T10 still hasn't set up a full simulation game type.
