I had a 360 until it died on me. It started giving me the unreadable disc error. I now have a PS3 and a Xbox 360 Halo edition, I'm deciding which one to return and which one to keep. I'm leaning towards keeping the PS3 since its way more relaible. The games may look better on 360 but PS3 has only been out a year. Like Madden 08 only runs half of the frames per second that 360 does. But remember when Madden first came out for 360 it only ran at 30 frames per second as well. I just hate to keep my new Xbox and have the same thing happen to me give me the "unreadable disc error" that my old one did. Does anybody know if they new ones have the same problem since they are suppoes to have a newer Dvd drive in them?
PS3's have unreliable hardware and lack in the software department. Keep the 360. It's reliable and has a ton of good software! :) Mass Effect looks better than any PS3 game.

ps3 has a lot of soft ware too Xbox 360 has a higher attach rate and better average ratings for software. Badabing!
Well, if you don't get a DRE, you might get a RROD. Your console may or may not have the new Falcon chips; though those are rumored to have their own set of problems.
Keep both if you can, but if it's an issue of reliability, then get rid of the 360. Multiplats are for the 360 and PS3 are practically o par now; COD4 on the PS3 is even said to have the graphical edge.

Actually the PS3 is the one with the reliable hardware, its the 360 that has the hardware problem, plus if hes only gonna have one system the PS3 libary isnt bad at all compared to the 360, just not as good...which I believe will change very soon.

I'd have to say keep both, but it's the Halo 3 Model, just ruturn that booger! :P
If you have to only choose one, then definitely keep the 360, because right now is has much better games, and slightly (very slightly) better graphics. But keep both if you can because each system has good exclusive games.
Yah I think PS3 is pretty close graphics wise to 360. I think PS3 will become atleast equal in graphics and game quality to 360 and eventually will surpass the 360 once game makers understand the PS3 a little more. I really enjoyed my 360 when I had it and it worked fine. It seems that the EA sports games as of right now are better than PS3 and that is what I like is sports games. The problem is that it seems like even the newer 360's, people are still having troubles with the 360 rather it be scratching discs, getting the disc error message, or getting RROD. I think PS3 will gradually improve online gaming too to get it more equal to Xbox Live.

lol yep.. take it from me.. i got an rrod one month.. fixed it and around a month and a half later i got the disk read error problem.. they said itll cost 130 to fix so i sold my BROKEN xbox 360 to a friend for 200 bucks.

ps3, basicly every game is multiplat but lems just wont admit that most of their games are on ps3, ps3 has far more 1st party game/devs than ms and has a much better looking lineup next year. keep the 360 if you want halo 3 and mass effect
Well it seems you're really leaning to keep the ps3, and you've presented good reasons for it, so i would say ps3. Really, from what i've read, some of the new chips and the new drive isn't really helping the failure rate, so it might just be best to keep your ps3.
my 360 died 4 days ago, i was thinking of getting another one, but meh , 2008 has alot of good games for the ps3 so i just went out and bought 399$ ps3.
