You should tell him that its your money and you will spend it your way. Don't insult him or anything but make it clear that you play what you want. You eventually need to get to the point where you don't give a damn about what people think of your tastes, family members or not.

Just go with it. If your sarcastic/witty back, he may not bother arguing with you since you won't give him a real answer. It bothers people when you completely disregard their opinion that they are trying to force on you. You could also just start doing the same thing to him but in the extreme so he gets the idea.

I'm really frustrated now cause so many people who I know that have a 360, are criticizing me cause I don't have any online games and especially shooters! I understand that online gaming is a big trend nowadays but when will anyone understand that I DON'T PLAY ONLINE GAMES!?!?!? I do play shooters just not those like Halo or Gears of War in which the campaign is like a few hours short and all there is left to do is play online especially with people I have never met! I got my 360 as a gift one year ago. I never even wanted it but I didn't want to act ungrateful and sell or give it away. All I have are Fable 2, GTA IV, The Lost and Damned, Rock Band 2, Street Fighter IV, and Soulcalibur IV along with some games from the LIVE Arcade. Apparently, my 360 collection is bad cause I don't have some of the 360's hits like Gears. Maybe cause it doesn't interest me! Thats what I tell people but then they say I have bad taste in games! I play whatever I want! And why do people always hate on a console they don't have!? I buy certain consoles with certain games that interests me!!! Not cause everyone is playing it!!! Why do people even criticize me about my games!?!? They must have no life or nothing else better to think or do!!! I play for entertainment!!! There's nothing wrong with playing games offline, there are plenty of good games that are mainly SP. Online MP is being overused and simply pasted into games that don't even need it way too much anyways.
