i am a 360 gamer, and i have been hating on the pc( mainly cuz i cant afford one) but now i want the pc to but there really expensive for the good ones. After seeing the miles and miles of oblvion mods i was astonished, wow have i been wrong through out the years, oblvion on 360 is really boring after awile. I have been owned. Any help with my situation?

You should buy Crysis, Spore, Quake Wars and Supreme Commander when they come out. They are all superb reasons to upgrade a PC. I would definitely recommend getting into online gaming too with the likes of Counter-Strike: Source and Battlefield 2. Plus you can't go wrong with a spot of World of Warcraft on the side.

I felt the same way until my parents promissed me a uber gaming pc for my b-day (1st August) :D Now lets see if they deliver.

I highly recommend you try the PC hardware forms. They are a very helpful crowd when it comes to getting a pc!

Do you feel comfortable building your own? If so tell me your budget and ill give you a list of parts to buy.

EDIT if money is an issue there are probably a tone of older games you can play on your currant PC. What are your specs?

Go the PC Hardware Forum here at GS. They will help you out. Or google a PC hardware forum, it will probably be even more helpful. You can easily build a PC for under $1k that can run all games maxxed at a decent resolution. I would still wait a little longer though, there are some huge price drops coming soon.

If you are going to get a game that's worth your money, get HL2. It comes to Counter-Strike Source, and hundreds of community-created mods for FREE. It's a good feeling when you go to the PC section of GS and see a new mod for HL2 which you can download and play for free. Oh yeah, HL2 is an awesome game :)

Totally agree. Iintel is dropping the prices on the C2D in april. Nvidia came out with some pretty good budget cards like the 8600ultra for $180. RAM prices never seem to go down though.
