The PSP doesn't have that many sport games or shooters. It's has RPGs, but there are a lot of RPGs on DS also.

Before a certain fanboy comes in here and start bashing the PSP for being a port dumpster I say, if you really like the PSP line up go for it. The PSP has a solid line up worth owning one. Now I will say this, the DS has far more variety, especially with RPGs (although the PSP is fairly good with RPGs as well) since you're interested in them. As for sports and shooters, well I think the PSP is the better option for sports titles and Shooters is a coin toss.

PSP has better sports games.

DS has better RPG's.

And both are pretty crappy on shooters, but DS has Moon, so it takes that category, too.

PSP has Resistance Retribution and the Syphon Filter games, but then those are both TPSs. :P

Two of the games that you bought are trash (no offence) It would help if you bought some good ones. The DS has the best selection of RPGs of any system this gen. Give TWEWY a try.

if you like rpgs, get TWEWY for the ds.. best handheld rpg

I'm pretty hooked on rhythm heaven atm too.. challenging yet addictive

that's a pretty poor library to judge the platform on though

some other good games are NG:DS and Zelda:PH

There are some good PSP FPS games, and even though thier not great, thier heck of a lot better then ds fps. Medal of honors heroes 2, socom fireteam bravo 2 and just some.

PSP has RPG's like monster hunter freedom 2, final fantasy tactics, star ocean, ff7 crisis core.

Action games like god of war.

Racing games like need for speed, wipeout pulse.

Seriously, i have both, the ds and psp, and i get much more enjoyment out of the psp. So i know where your coming from.

I also love how people only compare the psp and ds games, but not the hardware and features. PSP can play mp3's, while dsi plays AAC. lol, was it really so hard to put mp3. And watching movies on DS suks.

As stated only one of your games you bought is top quality. That said, if you feel you need a PSP then by all means trade it. To each there own.

the DS is a better GAMING experience, while the PSP looks better, and has alot of features that doesnt involve gaming. the PSP is great, it just doesnt have the games that people NEED or want.

I feel you and understand but DON'T trade for the original PSP. Keep the DSi and get a PSP 2000 or PSP 3000 instead.

I have to disagree with this. I was completely satisfied with the PSP prior to and even after getting a DS.

I dunno about that. I thoroughly enjoyed the Syphon Filter games, and Jeanne d'Arc ranks in my top 10 games of all time. A few other great games I enjoyed a lot are FFT: WotL, Dungeon Seige, Resistance: Retribution, NBA Ballers.. the list goes on and on. The PSP always keeps my busy. :D

lol, dont get me wrong, i PREFER the look and overall feel of the PSP, as well as the multimedia functions, i just thing publishers (other than sony) dont support it enough for some reason, maybe sony needs incentives?? i dunno, but it has kept me from enjoying mine, and i dont even own a DS :P

I would go for the 2000. I've heard bad things about the screen on the 3000 (some kind of bars or something, it has something to do with the type of screen Sony used for the 3000)

ds and psp are both great and they both have great games. people have different taste and some like the psp better other like the ds better. this here is a typical fanboy response so ignore him.

I worked at gamecrazy and gamestop, i will say to you NO STORE WILL ALLOW AN EVEN TRADE, once you've opened it its yours and they will only exchange it for the same item if the original is defective and its been less than 7 days, so you're screwed.

why are you thinking of getting rid of it if you like the games you got?

PSP and DS have about an even amount of shooters, PSP beats DS in quantity of sports games, but neither have good sports games worth bragging about and DS has many, many more RPGs, SRPGs, strategy games, etc.

if you get a PSP i'd recommend Syphon Filter, Loco Roco, and Echo Chrome.

Wait until the end of the year if you are going to buy a PSP. Apparantly a new one is in the works. Also there are plenty of good shooters, and RPGs on the PSP- and im sure there are good sports titles. Dont dismiss the DSs range however, You should try a variety of games.
