1 or 2, depending on what you want to do. If you live on your own, the Wii is great for entertaining guests (especially with the Wii Fit balance board to play Shawn White Snowboarding and Skate It on). If you want deep, immersive singleplayer or online multiplayer games, get the PC.

Why not? Don't buy it for Fit, get it for the balance board. Snowboarding and skating on it is an experience you can't get from anything else (except the real thing). I still haven't put the Fit disk in my Wii yet.

You know that even if you label yourself as a "hardcore gamer" doesn't mean you can't have fun playing wii fit, or shawn white snowboarding. I mean real gamers play games for fun and not care about anything else. And i say Wii, or buy games for 360 and PS3.

i7 platform is overpriced for the performance. You can get about the same framerate on most game with a Phenom II X3 720BE... or X4.

For the difference of price, you will... anyway, let's just put this straight...

DDR3 150$

X58 MB 300$

i7 cpu 300$

barebone config, around 800$...

If you have a budget, a x58 system is out of the question. It will cost you 2000$ to really have something that worth it with an i7. Save the money and buy yourself another graphic card to build a crossfire config.

Buy a game each for 360 and PS3, buy a Wii and a bunch of games and you'll still have a good enough to play high settings on all PC games.

X58 motherboards are xfire and sli compatiable lol, also if getting a system why not do it the smart way and future proof it? Instead of 6 months from now upgrading it with better componants. I have a great i7 rig and love it, and at the state that pc gaming is right now I will not have to upgrade for another year or so. I've beaten Crysis on Very High and there isn't nothig else out there that is going to push my system further for a while. So I always say if going to do it, then do it the right way the first time and be done with it. Also if TC already has a PS3/360 then I would definitly say get a PC gaming Rig, but once you do then your 360 want get much love lol.

Its possible to build decent i7 rigs in the 1000-1500 price tag. X58 m/b can be found for 200 btw That said yes i7 are a bit ( not much though ) overpriced ( i'm always talking about the 300 i7-920 since the other 2 models are way to expensive) but are more future proof. X58 M/b depending on the model they offer either crossfire or sli or even both

LOL. I don't really need to say anything, but maybe you should invest your money in a mountain bike and do some downhill riding. Or maybe an actual snowboard or skateboard. Something to get out of the house for a while. It would be good for you. And yes, those activities are hardcore so you don't have to worry about that. Trust me, skating and snowboarding games are completely different on the balance board. It's nothing like the Tony Hawk experience you had.
