im an american but there are plenty of countries that have a higher standard of living than the u.s. meaning richer people

There's nothing wrong with being patriotic, especially in this day and age. America has become a cornerstone in the development of a lot of today's most widely used technologies that we as humans (not only americans) take for granted on a daily basis. Although america's products may not always be the best out there, americans are used to them, and have grown to love their "home grown" products.Exeed_Orbit
