I reall think the Wii is going to win...

I have a wii by the way. But the wii has the worst library games and everything... But it will still end up winning .... Everytime i go into a game store. There is always like 3 people looking to by the wii and there still sold old... Im going to bet they will win... what do you think?Magical_Donuts

Yes, Nintendo is basically locked for the win at the current rate of sales. And their library will improve in the future.

With more Excercising games? Seriously most of the "real" 3rd party games are on PS3/360. Wii has left overs. Wii is going to win in terms of games. Not hardcore games though. With inferior graphics and online, 3rd parties will opt to creating games for fat people and woman.

The Wii will not win the War, even thought it will dominate sales (of systems) for the next year or so, but as Ninty said themselves, they have amazing sales becasue they expanded the markert, thus not taking away any market share from Sony or Microsoft, thus not beating them and one of them will most likely sale the majority of games. That idea is illustartated by the amount of people (like me) who own a Wii plus another next gen system, but given time are almost definatly going to buy more games for the other system even if they purchase every must-have* game on the Wii, but at the same time those same dual-system owners will almost definatly buy more games on the Wii than the huge amount of elderly people, soccer moms, and other ULTRA-casual gamers**, however since I think Ninty is the only people making money per sale of the actual system, they will obviously rake it in even if they dont take back their throne, sorry Fortune Magazine.

*depending on what what qualifies as "must-have", but I mean SMG, SSBB, and MPC type titles, not strikers

**My statements about ULTRA-casual gamers is based largely on the excitement I have hear from, as well as the fact that the line I waited in to get my Wii at 5 in the morning was dominated by those type "gamers" if you can call them that, who told me they had no plans of playing anything but Wii Sports... as well as the plethora of statistics on the topic.

I personally think they have a good shot at selling more consoles than the competition, but I don't think they're software sales are going to be as good as the PS3's and 360's.

Most look way to easy and one of my most anticipated games Mario Galaxy looks cheep, easy, and it doesn't have the Mario feel anymore. Also all the games are getting way to easy, ive yet to play a challenging game on the Wii for ex: TP was by far the easiest and most taked on felt Zelda ive ever played. Not to mention their biggest flop announcement WII FIT!.... Have fun exercising on your Wii.... Ill you know go outside and get a life...

Just because you win doesn't mean you deserved to win, and that doesn't mean you cheated, face it, im as big a Nintendo fan as they next guy but they are going downhill fast. The games are getting easy and gimmicky for all the "casuals" who seem to be Nintendo's new main focus. No longer do they make games for gamer, no, now they make games for mom dad and the whole family... Wow that sounds fun...:roll: I don't want to see Nintendo go this way but its happening and I will jump off before this ship sinks. Just look at how Sega turned out with Sonic and thier consols. Nintendo isnt failing but its switching its market to a new audience. Non- gamers.

Not that, im saying TP was easy, even though I have gotten better, it was just to easy to figure out compared to the other zelda's. Also I just recently played Ocarina of time again.

By making easy games that do not pose any challenge to experienced players. They are doing this to maketheir games"accessible" to non-gamers.Twilight Princess, for example, was the easiest Zelda I've ever played...

Anyway, if Nintendo just added difficulty to their 1st party games the wii would appeal not just to the casual but also the Hardcore gamer.

Likewise, I would like to play Mario Galaxy and Prime Corruption before giving up on Nintendo and saying they are abandoning the hardcore audience.
