...there are still 3rd party exclusives on Ps3.

Im mean, think about it from a dev's point of view :

1. Software sales higher on 360 so more profit

2. Easier to develop for : You could make the same game but use less time and effort on it.

3. It would be much easier to port to PC or vice-versa.

4. If it's 360 exclusive you could also stand a chance of getting a bit of funding from MS.

5. I'm just guessing but the 360 Dev kit is probably cheaper by quite a bit.

So with all those, i can only think of 2 reasons to make it a Ps3 exclusive :

1. Brand loyalty or fanboyism from the Dev or Publisher.

2. Posibilty of funding from Sony if they are lying about not paying for exclusives.

So why do loads of 3rd party exclusives remain ?????? Also i'm not saying i don't want games to be on Ps3 or anything fanboyish, it's just something i really can't understand.

Why aren't all the 3rd party games on the Wii then? Bigger userbase, lower budget for tittles, lower expectations.

Nope, 360 versions do generally sell more on 360 even worldwide with a rare exception...

There will be region exclusive stuff, for sure. Like for example there are a couple RPGs in Japan that are PS3 exclusive. And even some awesome games being made right now. 3rd party of course.

3 (Applies to all systems.). Developers want to have the final version of the game they're developing to be as close to their vision of what it should be as possible and for whatever reasons, be it power, storage, or controls, it would be simply too hard to get the final version of the game to be the way it should be on whatever system.

So why do loads of 3rd party exclusives remain ?????? Also i'm not saying i don't want games to be on Ps3 or anything fanboyish, it's just something i really can't understand.

Well if it's made by a Japanese developer I can understand it being exclusive. But outside of Japanese developers I can't recall anyone making exclusive third party games for PS3 but maybe Rockstar if L.A. Noire doesn't jump ship.
