What can I say? I got tired of paying 60 dollars for games, having to pay for online, small hardrive, 720p only games, better multiplats on PCs, and that terrible and annoying 'community" known as xbox live. don't worry though, i didn't sell it just for a game, i also sold it because i was cash strapped. and on another note, Empire: Total war kicks arse.
ummm k. Just making sure you did know that all of the things you mentioned hating existed at the time of purchasing, but did you figure you'd just be cool with it down the line?
When I first bought the 360 I was fairly impressed by it. It was a big step up at the time from a PS2, it was also cutting edge and easy to use when it first came out. Fast forward to present time, and I'm completely bored of it, I've ran out of xbox live subcriptions and don't feel like dealing with paying for it. And for the most part I actually thought the 60 dollar for a game thing was gonna be a fad at first, but no. It's just too expensive and I feel cheated on paying for a 60 dollar game that only runs @ 720P, lacks features, lacks mods, lacks free online, lacks dedicted servers, maps, so on and so forth... that you would get from a PC game, and since I already had nice hardware in my PC there really isn't a reason to own a 360 anymore especially since most of the 360 "exclusives" are on PC anyways. I'm just completely disgruntled with the state of console gaming... I missed the golden days of consoles... PS2, Dreamcast, PS1, etc. Consoles today seem to lack a certain "soul".... they just feel like corporate brainwashing tools now. I'm strictly a PC gamer and old school console gamer now. And there no other way I can put it, I HATE this generation of consoles.

Yeah, a game that I know I will truly enjoy that will last me a long, long time so that I won't feel compelled to go buy another game out of the blue. Total War has so much freakin' content... and the mods haven't even begun to trickle out yet. It's worth it, on top of that, since it runs through Steam it gets a constant flow of updates. Already there's been like 4-5? Something like that.
Well, I'm not sure why this needed to be posted here. I also don't know why the post is 99% you bashing the 360 just because you wanted to get rid of it. It doesn't even sound like you sold it for that game though. You apparently already had the PC, so this thread is just an excuse to bash the 360. Grats I guess

Are you trying to justify for spending that money you probably should have just saved? Are you frickin' kidding me? Doesn't matter how much longevity the game will offer (trust me, I know how much it offers) -- don't give into instant gratification, mate. If you're having money problems, you'll have to make sacrifices. This reminds me of some of my friends who "complain" about living check to check, but do nothing to get themselves out of that problem. Does anyone have a clue of what a "Savings" actually is? I hate to lecture you on this but seriously, mate -- that was a foolish move if you're low on funds.

Well since you seem to love bang for buck go sell Empire: Total War for a DS and then get stuff like Pokemon, GTA: Chinatown wars and bunch of Jrpg's like FF3 and 4, Dragon Quest 4 and 5 etc. There cheaper and you get equal if not more play time from them. Or is this just your way of bashing the 360 or consoles in general.

Strange, i never had to pay 60$ extra to play Fable 2, Banjo 3, Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect, Tales, LR, Star Ocean 4, Gears 2etc etc

Pokemon I played 200 hundred hours traight and that was just the silver version. But anyway, no I'm not bashing, I'm just sick of the state of console gaming these days. Read my other post.
Hmmm, trade a whole system, with numerous great titles, excellent online gameplay, numerous entertainment features... for one game. Yea, that makes a ton of sense
so you sold a £170 360 + games, for one game thats £20? oh wait you sold it for money fair enough.
i'm not sure why people bring up the 720p argument, games still look amazing. It upscales to 1080p anyway, most 22"-23" monitors tend to do around that. it more the settings on pc that improves the picture not a high resolution, after you get to a certain resolution, depending on size you can't tell anyway.

*thumbs up* Yeah! Way to go dude, you have a personal preference for Empire: Total War. I don't honestly see why people post this stuff on SW I mean I'd get rid of a Wii or PS3 if I had that first and grabbed a 360 for ME, we all have different preferences.
Question, where did you buy empire total war? I want to give the game a try and i am wondering if you know where I could get a good deal. I wouldn't have sold the 360 though, its a pretty good system
