this thread = stupid. you know very little about this game, yet you already claim it as AA when the original got AAA.

this is how cow logic goes:

resistance comes out and gets AA

resistance 2 is announced, cows go on SW to claim it will be AAA (their reason being that the first one was AA, and now the dev's know how to make it better, therefore it will be AAA)

Gears comes out and gets AAA

Gears 2 is announced, some cows go on SW and claim it will be AA (their reason is that the mechanics and graphics cannot be improved, therefore it will be worse)

no wonder cows are the least liked in SW, look at their ridiculous statements

Im not saying it will have bad graphics, it will have great graphics.

Im just saying it was one of Gears's strongest points and its going to be overshadowed by other game/games in the graphical department..

I cant even be bothered to state my other reasons... because ive stated it twice before already....

Dead Rising was hands down the first true next-gen game

the first launched against Twilight Princess unless you want to compare genre wise it came out alngside resistance and I think Rainbow six vegas... I think

The only competition was Resistance, and Resistance came out with the PS3's release, and games that come out with a consoles release are basically slight upgrades from previous gen hardware, and cant push a systems potential.

We haven't even seen what the game looks like yet

the story is great you just had to research utside the game for the first one unfortunately and Epic did say they were going to lay on a thicker coat of story for this game(who knows how thick though).

It's like judging Banjo 3; you can't because you haven't even seen the actual game

Dont know its not out yet, the point is certain games are going to get AAA even if they dont deserve it. Halo, Final Fantasy, Gears of War, Mario Sunshine. Sometimes a reviewer will give these games 8.5 if they want to be really bold, but its not likely.

You can't guess a score until gameplay details come out. But I will say this, do you honestly think that Epic could fall that far? Gears wasn't just barely AAA you know...TheSystemLord1

Why doesn't Gears? Metal Gear Solid does have some AA's under its name. Gears does not.

Not in the Third Person shooter/action genre. What does Gears have to counter it? Nothing really. Gears of War is a solid franchise.

Doesnt matter, Gears has attained "untouchable" status from most review websites. Just like any Mario, Final Fantasy, Halo or God of War game that will be released. Like I said, some websites willbe bold and give it high AA scores, but video game reviews have become that pathetic.

Dead Rising is my personal favorite so far this gen, havent been so addicted to a game since Ninja Gaiden on Xbox.
