I think its Nintendo's poor marketing for SS that everyone hates.

[QUOTE="charizard1605"]The new Zelda looks disappointing. So far, the trailers have been very hastily put together, and while I like the artstyIe, the actual graphics of this game aren't very impressive. The music doesn't stand out. We have no information about the story (except for knowing that there's a new villain, it's a prequel to every single non Four Swords Zelda game so far, and it takes place in Skyloft), and the gameplay is remarkably unremarkable. Tell me... what exactly are we supposed to be excited for with this game?

You're doing a good job being cynical and pessimistic in order to keep your expectations low as promised . It's another Zelda. That's what. People trashed Wind Waker when it was announced both for its art $tyle and looking too easy, and it ended up being arguably the best yet. The music is going to be orchestrated, so yes it will stand out in the end. But you're sort of right, outside of knowing that there's a new Zelda that will probably be awesome on the way, they haven't put out anything to excite everyone. But that's the thing, it's not that it's not there, it's that they've barely given any information about it.

Who's been calling Skyward Sword lame?

Robbazking
I do

That would be because you're only a PC gamer... obviously if you can't play a game and there's a weakness you can exploit you're going to say it looks lame.

Lol Zelda already played one, why would i want to play second one? They play exactly same and game doesn't have story

Zurrur
Your avatar is from Demon's Souls, so I'm assuming you're excited for Dark Souls. Am I correct? So... Lol Dark Souls already played Demon's Souls why would I want to play the second one? They play exactly the same and the game doesn't have story. Despite having better grammar, the two statements are essentially the same, and it holds truer with DS.

[QUOTE="Mrmccormo"]How can you know what the gameplay is like until you play it? And the difference between Twilight Princess's debut and the actual game may have led people to stop giving Zelda the benefit of the doubt. it has nothing to do with marketing. It has nothing to do with the trailers. It has to do with Nintendo showing off gameplay and content that isn't compelling to certain people.

The actual game which won many GOTY awards and had a 95 on Metacritic? Yeah that's low quality stuff there, obviously after a game that bad it's not going to get the benefit of the doubt .

All I can't stand is the art styIe. It reminds me too much of Wind Waker. If only they could have used higher quality textures. >_>

This is what's really bugging me. Imagine if the Wii wasn't as gimped as it is hardware wise...a huge, expansive Zelda using PS3/X360 tech...I would love it. (Don't take this as a Wii bash...it's a good console but disappointing at the same time). And with Nintendo's polish and charm it would be amazing all the more. *day dreams* Ah, to dream...

Where did I say it was low quality? Why are you putting words in my mouth? Twilight Princess sold half as much as Ocarina of Time (the title it was supposed to succeed). Obviously it does not carry the same weight as some of the other Zelda titles.
