I just came back from my frends house.Hes using an MSI heat cooling pipe 8600GT 512mb JUST MAXED CRYSIS on his on 1440x900.Without fraps the frame rate was around 20-35 average and minimum around 15-20.Which is PLAYABLE :).With fraps it was 5-10 fps lesser.Hell even my old 6600 GT NON OCed could run it on most high.These were the settings i believe :

Anyway during your second part of the post you misunderstood it again.Let me explain it to you in as simple eng as possible and sorry for gram or nything cuz i seriously dont have much time.He gets around 25-30 average,15 minimum and maximum even goes to 35/36.When he uses fraps he gets 5/10 fps lesser(which makes around 15-20 fps) but that can also be the cause of his bad kingston ram.Anyway and his card isnt OCed AT ALL.You should know that this heat cooling pipes cards are something very unique and we just got it day before for him.The temp UN OCed was going above 80 degree celcius.So we didnt take the risk of ocing it.But if you have a good vantec cooler keeping it idle at 42 degrees on extreme clocks than theres no doubt that Crysis can be easily maxed out.

My attempt wasnt to humiliate your computer knowledge.I was just shocked to see that how couldnt you appreciate those settings on a single UN OCed 6600GT.

2)No but fraps does decrease considerable preformance.ALTEAST 5-10 FPS on any machine.And its mainly used to record for youtube etc...etc.....So yeah its not bad for a 8600GT to run both things.

3)just 50-100% faster than the 6600gt.Are you fkin kidding me dude ? 6600GT cant even handle soft shadowing.LOL do i have to actually argue with people like you over here ? LMAO
