Atleast for a few years, he's the most likeable character this-gen imo next to Snake. He's just a normal cool funny dude.
I'm also ignoring Sackboy for the sake of argument.

uncharted isn't popular enough...
the only franchise sony has that is popular enough to be mascot-able is GT, and that doesn't really work.
maybe GoW is the closest. it'snot quite popular enough, but kratos is alot more unique looking than nathan drake.
Nathan Drake is the best Sony character. And we all know Nintendo has the wrong front man, it should be Yoshi ;)clembo1990
Link says no.

Kratos is the closest thing to an appropriate Sony mascot if you ask me.
[QUOTE="tonitorsi"]Man, why does everyone want multiplat, third party mascots for Sony?Solid Snake & Kratos are Sony's mascots. Millions of people around the world know both of them, and they instantly think "Sony".

Because they always bring something new to the table. 8)
Crash Bandicoot is Sony's mascot!CleanPlayerBack in the good days when systems wars didnt mean anything besides the fact crash bandicoot was on playstation and it was a true game :cry::cry:

Well, to bring this back to the realm of reality, Sony can't use a third party character as a mascot unless they license it's use which would cost a lot of money if they plan to use it extensively as most mascots are. And if it's multiplat it would make no sense. And if it was exclusive, there would always be the risk of it going multiplat and THEN making no sense.Back in the good days when systems wars didnt mean anything besides the fact crash bandicoot was on playstation and it was a true game :cry::cry: The original Crash Bandicoot was actually caught up in the fifth-gen System Wars. Sega, Nintendo and Sony were going head to head with their "killer apps" for the holiday season in 1996... NiGHTS, Mario 64 and Crash respectively.[QUOTE="CleanPlayer"]Crash Bandicoot is Sony's mascot!druggyjoe3000

He was, but then Crash betrayed them. I'd say Kratos should be their new mascot.

Naked Snake/Big Boss is still Sony exclusive. :PCombine him, Kratos, Snake, and Sackboy... Let's call him Snakan Krackboy Hmm sounds kinda dirty. GodofBigMacs
snackin' crack-boy? sounds like a homeless person.
I vote Kratos.
Zerocrossings
the only thing with kratos is that you can't really put him in any other games than GoW...
you can't make Kratos Kart or something like that.

You can make LittleBigKratos... if he wants... he does what he wants...Kratos. Unlike Snake he isn't on any other non-Sony console.
He is hardcore and spans at least 2 gens.
I don't mind Jak or Ratchet either-- it just goes to show you Sony has a wide variety of characters... or not a solid single character, whichever way you look at it :P
MGS2 is on the Xbox.Kratos. Unlike Snake he isn't on any other non-Sony console.

I think he's a tool. (Don't mod me, there's many terms for "Tool") I just don't find him interesting. If I had 2 choose' it'll be Sackboy.

Actually Naughty Dog sold Crash Bandicoot to Vivendi Universal when they left Vivendi to become a first party developer for Sony.Nathan Drake is my second fav game charater after Big boss. he's really likable, realistic. hes not a big, greesy steriod freak fighting monsters like some other games i wont mention:roll:

I just noticed the Rachet proposition; that might be a little bit more sound. Nintendo's mascot likes platforming, Microsoft's mascot likes shooting, Sony's mascot should like both.
