Both characters have the same voice actor. Sackboy should became Sony's mascot. Why? He looks generic and he talks like a less funny, more annoying version of the new Prince of Persia.

Snake... likable? If you like old men grunting all the time... then good for you. Nathan Drake.. doesn't grunt. Logical choice for Sony Mascot : Nathan Drake.Atleast for a few years, he's the most likeable character this-gen imo next to Snake. He's just a normal cool funny dude.
I'm also ignoring Sackboy for the sake of argument.

Hell no, Nathan is a horrible character. Cliche and boring :/.
I think it should be Kratos because he's badass, though not everyone can recognize him.
[QUOTE="-Snooze-"]Hes the only character this gen who has been different  Oh no a character has a sense of humor he must be genericNathan drake - The very definition of generic
EdenProxy
He's not even original  he's just a ripoff of Indiana Jones. And Indy was atleast funny. Drake can't hold a candle to him in any way..
Kratos is a great character for a mascot.
Sackboy is quite possibly the most stupid choice as a mascot... I mean, he has no personality, doesn't talk, he's just a thing there for the sake of being able to play through little big planet games, nothing more, nothing less._Cadbury_You mean like Mario? You pretty much explained in detail who Nintendo's number 1 mascot for the last 20+ years has been.

[QUOTE="Alpha-Male22"]MGS2 is on the Xbox. You must of misread that or you felt the need to back up what he just said by saying MGS2 is on xbox lolKratos. Unlike Snake he isn't on any other non-Sony console.
He is hardcore and spans at least 2 gens.
I don't mind Jak or Ratchet either-- it just goes to show you Sony has a wide variety of characters... or not a solid single character, whichever way you look at it :P

Nah, I think a cartoony character would be better than just some guy. Maybe Sackboy. Crash Bandicoot could've been a great mascot, but that didn't seem to work out.
yea, i think an animal would be more appropriate, rather than Nathan Drake. not only does Drake look sooo American, he's literally just a guy in a tee and jeans. he doesn't have any distinctive physical trait, unlike Mario's mustache. and him looking like an American, could alienate alot of people.
Mario works because even though he's Italian, he doesn't look like one.
Master Chief is just blandness at its best. no personality, no nothing. how can you possibly connect with a character that is just there, with nothing. Link was nice for those who love adventure, or Crash Bandicoot, etc. but Master Chief you're just there killing anything that moves. bleh.
for a mascot i'd rather have Snake. it would've been nice to have Sweet Tooth since Twisted Metal is the longest-running franchise of PS. but he may look too violent. same with Kratos.
or probably Cloud Strife. i know, FF7 is so cliche and all, but it's popular. if you can identify any game character, Cloud would be up there. i mean, even when i was in Asia, a kid from some rural province knew who Cloud is.
I agree with this. Sackboy edges Kratos out on the basis of LBP being a universal game because let's face it,if people actually followed the ESRB rating, no one under 18 should even know Kratos.it should be sackboy
it appeals to men, women, and children
and he can be dressed up to fit any occasion, marketability for sackboy is extremely high
