I think this what will be in Orange Box 2 if it's real.

We know about. The Rumor going around that Source 2 had been stealth launched with DOTA 2 Workshop tools.

Some of the Files in those Tools oddly look like game files to games like Left 4 Dead 3, Counter Strike 2, and Half-Life 3. There was also Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress things in there.

Of course I'm just speculating what's going on here so take these with a grain of salt.

DOTA 2 was the test. The Test to see if Everything associated with Source 1 will be compatible with Source 2. Parts of the Rumor are that DOTA 2 is now running on Source 2. I don't remember that's actually confirmed or not, but if so that means the Test was a success and that's why we see Files of Half-Life 3, Team Fortress and Left 4 Dead 2 in the files. This leads to my hypothesis.

Orange Box 2 will be consisted of 3 games. Left 4 Dead 3, Counter Strike Global Offensive, and Half-Life 3. All using the Source 2 Engine and looking better than ever.

Left 4 Dead 3 will have Left 4 Dead 2 maps just like how Left 4 Dead 2 had both Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 maps.

CS:GO in Source 2 is just going with the flow of the latest trend of "Remastering" games. The Game doesn't need a remaster, but it may get the same treatment DOTA 2 did. As in the Game will be converted into Source 2.

Team Fortress 2, Will probably get the same treatment as well.

And Of Course the Big one is Half-Life 3, by now it's bound to happen, but when will it happen is the question.

All of this is speculation of course and the files in DOTA 2 may not have anything to do with Orange Box 2 or Left 4 Dead 3 or Half-Life 3 or whatever. But Source 2 seems to actually be a thing and Valve may show more stuff about at Gamescom so It's pretty exciting, I think.

Also I'm sure if Orange Box 2 is real It will be on PS4 and Xbox One thus justifying a CS:GO "Remaster" because ya'll just LOVE Remasters right?

Half Life 3 will be it's own game, they'd be absolutely insane to waste it's endless years of yearning and hype by hiding it under a compilation title.

And it will also never come out :P

That would be an amazing bundle. Hard to think they would do that with such big games.

I don't understand why you're jumping to an Orange Box 2, when they'll obviously release the games individually if/when they do release them.

I expect absolutely nothing from Valve at this point. They have no reason to make new games.

I think Half-Life 3 will be released on its own.

There won't be orange box 2 and there won't be any single player game (including HL3) from Valve , anytime soon . Gabe has no interest in Single Player ATM , according to his latest interview (google it) . Source 2 will be just an engine focused on user generated content and they'll probably launch Left 4 Dead 3 with it and will invite users to create contents for it (like Unreal Tournament) and then will advertise it as "User friendly engine . New accessible platform for indie devs" .

files in DOTA 2 had CS2 in the name. It's speculated that is Counter-Strike 2. If you read further I actually think CS2 is nothing more than just CS:GO and it will be remastered using Source 2.

I don't believe we will ever see these games. Ever.

I don't remember where I read it at, but he point towards that Half LIfe 2 Episode 1 and 2 were in fact what would have been 3. I wish I could find that article.

Won't happen, there aren't enough Valve games to justify it....plus that would mean Valve has to work on a video game and that definitely won't be happening anytime soon.

Valve is in no rush to make anything, they make tons of money just with their digital distribution service, they aren't like other publishers where they're constantly getting stuff out on deadline to make the company its quarterly and annual profits. They have the freedom to work at their own pace, and right now it's not like they'er really deveoted to making their own games. Their own creative ambitions seem to be devoted to Steambox and a Steam OS and getting games to run in Linux.

there is NO WAY IN HELLLLLLL that Left 4 Dead 3 and Half Life 3 will be bundled in the same compilation. They will lose millions if not billions of they do that. The hype for Half Life 3 will have it pass the billion dollar mark within a week and L4D3 the same if not shorter. Those 2 games will be stand alone games I will bet my life on it. They will probably put together a bunch of old games like they did with orange box 1 and add some new mediocre game with it.

Here's the truth: Valve isn't going to release 2 new AAA games in the same bundle. They can sell L4D3 at full price with no problem. Same with HL3 and Portal 3. Assuming this box is real (which I highly doubt) I bet they include something like Black Mesa, One main game, its expansion (hint: this so called box will unlikely be released before a full retail AAA game), and maybe something smaller.

On the one hand packing Half Life 3 (I still believe that game will simply never be made.) in with the Orange Box 2 would be completely crazy. On the other hand that may very well be the only real way to evade some of the inevitable backlash tsunami that the release of Half Life 3 would unleash.

The gist of the post was mainly that CS:GO will see a "Remaster", Left 4 Dead 3 is real and will launch with Left 4 Dead 2 revamped maps. Half-Life 3 is also real and all 3 games will be using Source 2.

I only state Orange Box 2 because Those 3 games will be what will be Valve's Debut Games for Source 2.

But like I said it's all speculation. Nothing is set in stone until Valve themselves say something.
