I thought Forza was supposed to be a system seller?

Less than 200k in the first month(September NPD) including bundles is pretty pathetic for Xbox's 3rd biggest IP.

Guess even lemmings are getting tired of the yearly entries.

I think that was the NA result. But yeah, due to having too much in forza horizon 2 with new King mode, online tag, rally, storm island, bucket lists, speed times, time trials, extreme weather, improved customization options, red team blue team, free standalone DLC with F&F, racing choppers and jets, upgrading/tuning/customizing my supra and drifting and taking it to 240 mph, custom drag'drift strips...

I agree TC, forza 6 flopped pretty bad due to having too much in FH2.

And forza was never a system seller in the first case.. But there is easily an year's worth of content in it.

I also think that instead of cows being obsessed with forza, they should ask one of their largest Devs, when will they be releasing GT7? And keep in mind that they will be launching with "standard" cars...

I've always been a bigger Xbox fanboy and yet I never had a thing for Forza, I tried with Forza 4, didn't like the sim feel, the sim side of it never appealed to me. I liked Horizon 2 a great deal but I really dislike all the DLC. Frankly I just wish a series like Dirt can do better so we could get more great Dirt classics on consoles. Unfortunately next game is PC only and my guess is that's where it'll stay.

If I were to get any future Forza game, I'm gonna wait a year until the GOTY / all-DLC edition releases. Let's not forget that was a busy month, MGS5:TPP, Mad Max, sports games like Fifa, Madden, NHL. Wasn't a great time to release Forza, I'm sure it'll do okay tough. It's another title for MS to add to their list of exclusives.

I had a feeling regarding Forza 6 they'd of had a better chance selling the game by bundling it for a limited time with the Xbox One Elite controller, those paddles might have been good for shifting.

I doubt it did that bad. It was #2 in Britain. I bet it was quite popular in continental Europe. Even in FREAKING JAPAN it almost cracked Top 20, achieving #21. How do you know 200k figure included bundles if neither Madden bundles nor Destiny TTK bundles weren't taken into account by NPD?

I've never heard anyone say Forza is a system seller, everyone does say it's of better quality then GT despite being produced at a faster rate which is quite embarrassing for Polyphony and Sony as a whole.

A racing simulator isn't exactly the genre everybody wants....

Umm. I highly doubt a large amount of people buy a console for Forza.

It was at at No.2 place. Now it's not. Anyway, Forza 6 barely broke 60k since launch in UK. Last week sales was under 6500k. How Forza 6 can be popular in rest of Europe when outside UK Xbone is selling like shit. Yes, it hits Top 20 at No.20 in Japan ( week 38 ). But guess what, next week no Forza6 in charts. Well, somebody has insight in NPD data and Forza 6 it sold in NPD in 195k ( with bundles ). Yes, results for Destiny TTK was PS4 bundles and Destiny under 400k in NPD.

What, you want annual mainline Forza Motorsport? Well, it almost is. Forza every year. What's the benefit from that? Be sure when GT7 came out, it will outsold Forza 5, Forza 6, Forza Horizon 2 combined.

I think xbox gamers in general are tired of the milked trio.. forza and gears will keep on flopping, i think halo will do well for few years but wouldnt be surprised if it starts to go on the decline (assuming the decline havent started yet)

Forza has never been a big seller so no idea why you thought that

he was replying (imt) to a guy who was saying forza was the better quality series... and then said GT7 will sell more.. does it mean it will be the better game? it's obvious that forza>GT and forza>driveclub even if it sells much less. i think you should be worried about GT7 not being up to the mark than flopza flopping in sales...

It's a sim racer that's releasing every 2 years. It is having some fatigue. There is still stuff for me to do in both Forza 5 and Forza Horizon 2, so Forza 6 is out a year too early for me to buy which means I'll probably be picking up FH3 which means Forza 7 will probably get skipped again if they keep the every other year thing going because I enjoy Horizon a lot more.

I would say being relevant and being a system seller are 2 different things.

@FastRobby: Yes someone has insight into NPD and Forza 6 sold sub-200k all copies included. Forza Horizon 2 did similarly poorly last year.

It's relevant as the best racer on consoles.....it's relevant in Europe ( was charting all month ). It's a really great game.

Favourite bit is about that 360 fanbase that has clearly jumped ship to PS4 and kept their 360s and portraying the PS3 being dead as a negative when that GEN is already long done. That is some serious spin. Phil Spencer should probably take a look at your CV for their PR department :P

I would have bought it instantly if they released Forza (the more sim versions) on PC.

I have an Xbox One and liked Forza 6 but I won't buy it since I prefer sims and simcades on PC. Xbox One Forza 6 doesn't support my wheel. :(

@chikenfriedrice: Bloodborne is one of the best games period, but all I read was niche and won't sell on here. Turns out it sold pretty damn well. Much better than Forza 6. Hell Until Dawn did about equal to Forza 6 with no marketing or bundles.

Why are lemmings buying these great games like Forza, Forza Horizon and Sunset Overdrive. I guess lems like to talk about games and not actually buy them!

@cinematicgalore: Yes the God Of War prequel was on par with Gears prequel in flopping. Neither game should have been made.

GT6 definitely sold much less than previous entries, but still way more Xbox exclusive racers are selling. Even Drive Club sold 2 million. Guess lems don't buy games that don't revolve shooting.
