It gives people who never played those games a chance to play them. But they are overpriced.

Me too though its still far better than the XBLA's barely playable arcade games which are far more overpriced.

When did SFII, MK, Doom, Contra, TNT Arcade, Alien Homnid, Defender, Dig Dug, Galaga, Joust, Smash TV, Castlevania, Ms Pac Man, Worms, Marble Blast, Time Pilot, Clonin Clyde, Metal Slug, etc. become crap? What is so special about VC compared to those? Plus LIVE arcade doesn't just have old games there are new ones. With updated graphics, achievements, etc. Nothing like that on VC yet is there?

Marble Blast Ultra, Roboblitz, Cloning Clyde, Wik Fable of Souls, Mutant Storm Reloaded, Alien Hominid, Assualt Hereos, Feeding Frenzy, Hexic HD, Outpost Kaloki X, etc.

Rubbish. Gameboy sold nearly 70 millions units. GBA 75 millions units. And an estimated 36 million DSs sold. Nintendo is making plenty of money.

You hate the idea? That's kinda sad..i figured every gamer who grew up playing videogames would get a kick out of the VC. You do know that Nintendo isn't the only company who is "milking" their games, right? Sega, Hudson, Konami, Capcom to name a few have games on the VC too.VideoGameGuy

With Wii's online you get messeging, shoping, and internet browsing. Something you don't even get with the XBL Gold account, Lol.

Also I wouldn't consider clones to be new IP's.
