Please don't hype this, or call this a system seller (Yes I hear a few people calling it that.) too much........ at least until the beta comes out in a few months. I just don't want anyone to be dissapointed if it doesn't live up to expectations. :) Does anyone else think we shouldn't get to ahead with ourselves? It's new and only one video has been shown as of yet. :)
I was impressed with Home, it is the PS3's online service and looks very promising against the competition. Especially because it was so polished for the first video.
I understand it, and I think its a cool idea... but really... its kinda wierd... why have a virtual life thing for stuff like trailers, minigames, and stuff like that? I think Wii's channels would work better for that, though it is cool to have a visual...
Whatever... its free thus its > everybody votes channel...XD
well i think they have a right to defend it however as the lemmings and sheep will combine forces to bash this service because they basically combined both xbox live marketplace and wii virtual console thing and thats not cool.
The whole package (HOME) seems intriguing, but yeah, its not something to truly freak out over, not yet at least. Just wait for the beta to come out and we will see how it works from there. I'm just glad Sony is finally trying to do something interesting with the whole social community aspect.
Many videos were playing in each rome in HOME. I think the CELL is a great chip to do media multy tasking, and we will see this in home, seeing game trailer, player videos, movies and such playing in the backgroud.

it's a service in form of a Sims game envirment you have to use joystick to move around and you see a 3d image that qualifys it as a game. you can decorate you house sims style so yeah i would say there a game somewhere in the service.

Exactly. Nintendo has done some truly great things for the industry like inventing the Dpad and Rumble (if you are into that), but they get way more credit than is due. The Playstation HOME looks to be integrating all the best things about Nintendo online and Xbox Live...I'm perfectly fine with that too so long as it is better, does some things the others don't (it does) and is free (it is for the most part). Nintendo has a solid basis for online but they don't look to be doing too much with it.
