Uncharted 2 is already locked at a 9.5 score (lower would be stupid, higher would be stupid) but I want MW2 to be so bad all sites (IGN, 1up, GS, and GT) to give it AA. If it really deserves it they all will. Credibility works if the idea is popular. If game is A then it would not be viewed as credible to give it AAA.Lots of us do, but due to hype it'll get AAA. That's just how it works. Gamespot isn't going to give it anything below AAA for fear of looking like a less credible site.

Yah, but the game reviewers aren't all messaging eachother saying "This year MW2 gets an 8.5 instead of a 9 for the lulz"

If your talking about my Uncharted comment I'll explain. The first Uncharted was AAA on most sites. From what we've seen the campaign looks twice as good and the addition of multiplayer helps. It may end up beating out MGS4 but it won't get a 10 because that would be the 3rd 10 in under 2 years. It won't get a 9 because they don't want to underscore like the original.Lots of us do, but due to hype it'll get AAA. That's just how it works. I want it to be great, since I have my copy (Hardened Edition) already pre-ordered.IronBassthis. i can care less about any of your opinions that dont agree with me. ESPECIALY people who want it to flop. all these crybaby boycotts and wishful thinking of a games failure makes me laugh everytime i hear someone plee to their peers to not buy a game that they like just because " Gamer A" wants "Gamer B" not to sell well. if its good its good why dont you just give it props if it is...and laugh if it fails. get over yourselves...

Your right but if the game flops as a game (Like, the game sucks but the reviews elsewhere are high) the may call eachother up and stick it to Activision for the lolz. MW2 probably won't flop, I just really want it to!Just because of the name "Call of Duty", this immediately assures thatthe game will at least get a 9 from Gamespot, and knowing it's the sequel to COD4 means it's probably going to get around a 9.5. I do hope that Gamespot gives this game the "Recycled" demerit though. They always rip on sports games for doing the same thing over, COD should get one also because it's the same game every year, just a slightly different storyline and a different setting.
I'd like to see it flop to prove Activision they were wrong selling it so highMonsieurXok im confused i got my copy reserved for 59.99 + tax. what is this extra cost? or extra high price??
Usually I would say, "How could you want a game to flop? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it should flop." I actually agree this time though.

PC and Europe.
You know what I want? I want all these haters to shut up.
If you don't like Activision or COD, then hey don't buy their games. You can sit there and boycott, sign petitions and swear at Activision until you're blue in the face, but at the end of the day none of it will matter.
It's your money that speaks.
well, "How could you want a game to flop? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it should flop". there you goUsually I would say, "How could you want a game to flop? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it should flop." I actually agree this time though.

Good point. I still want it to flop. It won't though.

AH i see. gotcha....
that IS odd. why would they want to up the price of the game? is it activision thats asking the price?? theres gotta be a reason why it is the way it is....(aside from the activision is teh greedy). i wonder why it really is that way. PC games usually sell for no more than 49.99 right??

There's no reason at all, they just know the game will sell anyway so they rose up the priceI hope it flops just so its a middle finger to activision. lettuceman44
And all of the mindless Call of Duty fanboys.
MW2 scoring an 8 here or anywhere else won't adversly affect Activision in any way. Not in revenue, not in investor confidence, and certainly not in public image. Flops are a fabricated damage control system existing for the fanboys on an internet forum.
You might as well spare yourself. It's not going to flop, even if it gets 8.5 or 8 its going to sell 10 million+. Just deal with it, don't buy it if you don't like it. DeadMagazinesWe all know its not going to flop and we all know it will sell millions. Personally, I don't like it, but I'm not losing any sleep over it. I just think that in an alternate reality the gaming world would be better if it flopped.

Because you're willingness to shell out extra money for a SE of a game that makes few improvements and charges for content that could be put on the disc takes away companies' incentive to actually put effort into their sequels/not rip me off. I hope it fails, because I want to see some ambition from MW3, and I don't want to be expected to pay more than $60 for the full experience of it.
im kind of 50/50 on this....but IW didnt do anything wrong to have their games that they work hard on fail. its activision. Sands-0f-Time
True. It would be better for Guitar Hero to flop.

agreed 100% since i really dont care to buy GH5I like the first MW game but I want this to flop so I won't buy it ,because there's no reason to do a test and charge more I want that test to fail.
$60 is already too high as it is.
I know that if they charge more than that here even if it gets a 10 I am not buying it.
Day one maps is a rumor, that has already been squashed by IW. And the game is not going to score 8.0 or less, guaranteed. The unprecedented hate is ridiculous, people need to get over the fact that they will not like every game, and that when they don't, they do not need to force their views just because the game is popular. rolo107Huh, I heard that IW confirmed it, thanks for the education. I might actually buy it, depending on reviews.
Even if it scores a 5.0, it'll sell millions of copies. The CoD name alone sells the game, regardless of what's actually in the game.
Anyway yeah, I hope it flops, as it's just going to be a negative influence on the industry. We don't want more generic sequels, more expensive games, etc.
i dont want it to.and im pretty sure it wont.IW is a very good, experienced dev, and the game looks very promising from what ive seen and read.but i would like to see everything else activision puts out flop.i hate them as much as the next guy.they just a cash milking, horrible publisher.
