I want Modern Warfare 2 to flop

I hope it does, then everyone will stop playing / talking about Call of Duty.

your psot contains some serious amount of failure. In no way will the game flop, and in no way will it be unpopular if it does.

I hope it flops to teach activision a lesson, I have nothing against infinity ward but IM sure 1 flop wont kill them.

1. WaW came out already duh plus that was before imo activision got to there worst :P

2. Assasins Creed and Bioshock have nothing to do with Activision, and neither of them are the same game as the first at all, and they arent even released yet :P plus that wasnt why I said I wanted Cod to flop, I personally love the Call of Duty gameplay formula and think it worsk great.

Why do you want it to flop? I want it to do well so Infinityward will continue with it, but then i want Activision to break down and then I want EA to buy them up or some other company to buy them up so that Activision's CEOS can cry in shame :twisted:

See, I prefer to hate the publisher it self. Stupid Activision bought up infinityward and ruined their name among gamers. THey are actually a great company, and MW2 would have been much more original had Activision not bought infinityward and made them milk the franchise

Hopefully it will be the first CoD game that actully improves on the series.

So a company spends a lot of money to create a game for people who like that type of game and want to charge more to sell the title. Is that right? It's there product and they can sell it for whatever they want, if you don't agree, then don't buy it. Why force your bias on everyone else. Just shut up and play the games that you want to play and stop trying to make everyone else's decision for them. You guys that want it to flop are pathetic!!

Just wondering what you would consider a better FPS? I really think that the CoD games are well done with great visuals, great single and multiplayer. What would you change to make them better?

I can't understand why anyone would want a game that was worked on for 2 years to flop. Activision has been getting a bad rap for comments some of their management staff have said but I don't think the hard work Infinity Ward put into this game should be ignored because 1 of their employees is an idiot.

I hope it doesn't as I have a copy pre-ordered.

Thats why I usually wait until a game drops to the $30.00 or $40.00 range before purchasing it. It makes me feel better when purchasing the DLC knowing I stilled payed less than original MSRP for the game. Did this for COD4 (37.99 at Bestbuy), Halo3 ($50.00 special edition at B.B), Soulcalibur4 ($24.00 at circuit cities clearance), SF4 ( $20.00 atgamestop 1-day sale)and a few others.

I kinda hope its good and I kinda don't.

On one hand, I liked COD4, it had fun multiplayer and a good single player campaign.

On the other hand, Activision is just going to make the MW series into a guitar hero. In that they will just demand more and more until I don't want it any more. Frankly I am turned off by all the things they are trying to get me to buy, 3 different versions, a day one map pack, certainly more to come just weeks later, and its just going to get worse.

I'll buy a used copy, at least then I'm supporting the better of two evils.

It is like you ask if we want bad games, i dont want bad games so i dont want it to flop :?
