I was... I mean I am still a HUGE Nintendo fanboy but I hated everything they've ever done. They are destroying true gaming. I can't help but feel how glorious gaming would be right now if that damned Nintendo never existed in the first place.
And as a Playstation hater, I have to admit that Sony is the savior of gaming. They have been doing an amazing job ever since the first PlayStation and are not only advancing gaming, but saving it. Everything they've been doing is just pure perfection that have advanced gaming to the levels of the godfather and citizen kane. God bless Sony.
Yeah, I mean, no one could doubt what Sony has done for gaming. they built some amazing machines, no doubt, and I was a huge fan, but the PS3 is just not impressive or the 360 at least makes it not seem that way. I believe Sony is still in the game and could still easily come back. First step is to design a better controller, at least as a second choice for gamers (that alone would make me happy). Second, stop with the lying and give more accurate release dates, and on and on... you're basing your opinion on the bad controller purely on FPSs. have you tried playing fighters on the 360 contoller, that contoller is atrocious for fighters. both contollers have their strengths and weaknesses, i'd rather play FPSs on the 360 and i'd rather, much rather play fighters on the PS3, i hate the 360's dpad. Why do I keep clicking on these kinds of threads? I'll just never understand.siLVURcrosslol i know. It's the title you're expecting something funny, for some reason, but it just fails to amuse.
OK, I will go first, I am 34 and have 2 ex wives and 4 kids. Beat that little guy. Sony did not "give" you Blu-ray, you paid for it. And yes, it is a trojan horse. A little critical thinking would show you that. Oh well, they say ignorance is bliss...lol
you win with the age im a couple years behind the reason you sound like a little kid is basically your blaming sony for your decisions.
first off when sony first came out it mentioned it was a console with a blue ray player included you I suppose knew about that. If you are not a blue ray fan you should have said "wait, I don't want this " but you decided to go and purchase the console knowing what's included.
sony did not put a gun to your head and forced you to buy the PS3 with the added blue ray
Just like I went to the store knew that I was purchasing a blue ray player as well as a game system when I went to gamestop and purchased the PS3(btw I couldn't be happier)
ok so what makes blue ray a trojan horse ? please explain is it a virus that breaks your PS3 ? do the movies look bad ?
blue ray is a movie player you can go and buy blue ray movies or dvd movies and place it on the PS3 and play it what about that is a trojan horse LOL
all I see you doing is hating, complaining and blaming.
TEK91 in his 30s? LMFAO cheers for the laughFirst off TC show links to Sony announcing KZ2, gt5 and the other games you mentioned that had a release date of March of 08.
2nd TC Sony didn't force you to buy a ps3, and you knew a bluray player was built in.
3rd TC it took you a year after having a 360 to make a topic about this? And since fps is your thing, let me know what games you getting for the 360 anytime soon.
The ps3 is in a whole different league than the 360 for its build quality, and reliablity so in the price you are not just paying for a bluray player but also for a quality console. That has a huge amount of customization, open network to allow a Internet browser, and device friendly that allows you to hook up a logitech pc steering wheel to it aswell as a keyboard and mouse.
TC where was the optical audio input located at on the 360's mother board? If you answer that truthfully then that will definitly show you just how cheaply made the 360 is.
The controller on the 360 is not that great, I mean granted to some it may feel better but for you and others to claim its the next best thing to slice bread is just crazy. Not only that but you coming from ps1, ps2 and ps3 tells me right there that the ps3 controller isn't that bad or else you wouldn't have made it past the ps1, so just say its preference. Cause to me the 360 sticks suck, when I push up on them my finger is pressing on a edge cause of the concave stick, where as on the DS its rounded and my finger relaxes on a actuall nice resting spot and not cutting into my finger. The L1 and R1 buttons are hard to reach on the 360 controller, you have to actually think about reaching over the little lip to get to them. Where as on the DS controller both the L1 and L2 buttons are very accesable. So once again just mark it as preference and not a fact for which controller is better.
And for someone that posted about what has wifi, bluetooth and bluray done for gaming.
Wifi= Options, play in anyroom in my house if need be, don't have to worry about sharing internet with my wife and her computer lol.
bluetooth= less chance of frequency issues, since most things in a house hold has IR, dvd players, tv's, cable boxes, remote controls
Bluray= Uncompressed graphics, uncompressed audio (which shines on the ps3) scratch resistant disks.
Anyway TC really a whole year to make a thread like this or are you just making these on a weekly basis lol. And yes I had a 360 for like a week and didn't like gears and there really isn't anything else on the system I would ever want so it got returned. Except maybe Huxley which I think has been scratched for the 360, or maybe Alan Wake and either one of those I can play on my pc :)
nothing to see here folks another Biased post.[QUOTE="tek91"][QUOTE="T-Aldous"]Its the Sony arrogance and lies that got to me, not to mention forcing me to buy into a movie format that I don't care about. Oh and the insults toward their fans. They basically said that the PS2 fans were stupid and would buy anything that said Playstation on it and they were kinda right. No other system would still be alive after the pricetag and the broken promises. I used to be a huge Sony supporter until this generation.T-Aldous
forcing you to buy a blue ray player what are you 5 years old no one forces you to buy anything the PS3 is commercialised as a videogame system and that's exactly what it offers the blue ray is an added bonus if you don't want to buy a PS3 with a blue ray don't buy it, simple as that sony already has 21 million customers you can stick with the xbox and play halo wars.
Try reading my sig, I have a PS3, in case that escaped your attention. Blu-ray was not a bonus it was a trojan horse that you paid extra for to help Sony win a format war. It might be an asset later on but, thats not what Sony had in mind when they included it. Oh, and I am older than you by quite a bit, kiddo!Doubtful, when you make a statement about being "forced" to buy something.

TEK91 in his 30s? LMFAO cheers for the laughThe top part in orange is a highlighted quote from me. He already said that I was older than him.Everything is mostly a preference when it comes down to it. Just like his don't prove your wrong, the opposite is also true.First off TC show links to Sony announcing KZ2, gt5 and the other games you mentioned that had a release date of March of 08. While I agree links should be provided, nobody expected at E3 05 to not be playing those games until 2009 and later.
2nd TC Sony didn't force you to buy a ps3, and you knew a bluray player was built in. No, but they force you to buy a bluray player if you buy a PS3.
3rd TC it took you a year after having a 360 to make a topic about this? And since fps is your thing, let me know what games you getting for the 360 anytime soon. Maybe one of the many older titles, or PC/360 shared ones, didn't Fear 2 just come out? There are more than just exclusives you know.
The ps3 is in a whole different league than the 360 for its build quality, and reliablity As I've stated a lot in the past, since Jasper has come out where are all the threads and pics of people's Japser 360's RRODing and failing? All indications so far are that Jasper has got the 360 to PS3 reliability levels...and the price hasn't shot up to PS3 levels, so now what? so in the price you are not just paying for a bluray player but also for a quality console.
How does location relate to quality? How does one go about fixing the optical port on the PS3 if it goes bad? Wouldn't it be nice to simply get a new dongle instead?
The controller on the 360 is not that great, I mean granted to some it may feel better but for you and others to claim its the next best thing to slice bread is just crazy. True, it is perference...but the 360 is better egonomically, that can't be disputed. Not only that but you coming from ps1, ps2 and ps3 tells me right there that the ps3 controller isn't that bad or else you wouldn't have made it past the ps1, so just say its preference. Sticking with it doesn't mean much, it isn't like the consumer had a lot of choice as that was the only controller for the PS2(OFFICIAL). Cause to me the 360 sticks suck, when I push up on them my finger is pressing on a edge cause of the concave stick, where as on the DS its rounded and my finger relaxes on a actuall nice resting spot and not cutting into my finger. Place your finger inside the concave part if it bothers you. Anyway, if you are pressing hard enough for you to feel it to the point of discomfort aren't you also pressing in LS constantly? The L1 and R1 buttons are hard to reach on the 360 controller, you have to actually think about reaching over the little lip to get to them. Where as on the DS controller both the L1 and L2 buttons are very accesable. The positioning is identical, if you can use L1 and R1 you can use LB and RB...they are literally placed identically. So once again just mark it as preference and not a fact for which controller is better. As long as you realize that familiarity doesn't mean better either.
And for someone that posted about what has wifi, bluetooth and bluray done for gaming.
Wifi= Options, play in anyroom in my house if need be, don't have to worry about sharing internet with my wife and her computer lol. You CAN get wifi on the 360 you know.
bluetooth= less chance of frequency issues, since most things in a house hold has IR, dvd players, tv's, cable boxes, remote controls You should do some research into the issue, as blutooth resides in the same frequency(2.4 Ghz) and both feature spread spectrum tech to avoid interference. The only difference is in the tranmsiion tech.
Bluray= Uncompressed graphics(still compressed to fit into 512 Meg of system RAM), uncompressed audio (which shines on the ps3)True, but be honest...how much difference is there between uncompressed and lossless audio in the first place. scratch resistant disks.
Anyway TC really a whole year to make a thread like this or are you just making these on a weekly basis lol. And yes I had a 360 for like a week(boy, there's sufficient time to make an honest evaluation) and didn't like gears and there really isn't anything else on the system I would ever want so it got returned. Cause I'm sure you tried so many games in the span of a week. There may be less games you KNOW you'd like due to having prior familiarity with certain titles from the PS2 and PS1 era, but you had to try those titles at some point before you knew you liked them didn't you? Except maybe Huxley which I think has been scratched for the 360, or maybe Alan Wake and either one of those I can play on my pc :)

TC, you are a very experienced game player and I commend you on your choice to punish Sony for getting a big head about this generation of consoles. I am the same way. I loved Sony's PS2 and I was soooooo looking foward to the PS3. But they dragged their feet too long and lost me as a customer. And you are right about the 360 controller being better for FPSs. What you posted is not just your opinion--I can tell that you know a lot about gaming and I see your post as an objective truth that Sony fanboys will find hard to swallow.
But of course if I had money to burn I would buy a PS3 just for God of War 3. I couldn't care less about blu-ray. Like you, I care more about games than movies.
