@mark1974: People are buying them that's why they just made their millionth controller, but never said they sold a million, so no! Lol

Ok, fair enough. I just wanted to win a free Elite controller and had to try.
I can't blame you :)
Same here, i use it on PC and it's been great so far....hell even i used it when playing the Division and surprisingly i had fun ...that was the first time i was using a controller on PC for shooting a gun lol
@chikenfriedrice: Got mine January 4th and wont ever go back. Well accept when I have to like this weekend playing Rare Replay with my nephew at his house. It is the finest controller I have ever used. The weight is nice, the grips so good they have included it on the X1 S controller, the paddles are great. I never play any game in first person on standard layout. I always use my own especially love saying goodbye to L3 sprint. Right bottom paddle baby.
I am with you! Only people hating on it are Sony fan lol
I would gladly give Sony $150 for a great programmable controller for my PS4.
Isn't there rumors of Sony doing something similar?
To be fair, people do pay $150 for a keyboard.
You do get a lot more use out of a keyboard though.
@chikenfriedrice:
150 binoculars for one measly controller?!!! ROFL ?
Of the list of things that I have seen, it now contains them all.
I've enjoyed my Elite controller more than I thought I would when I picked it (and a Best Buy warranty) up.
Arthritis in my hands has gotten to the point that clicking the thumb sticks frequently during FPS play has become painful. Mapping those stick clicks to paddles has been invaluable in mitigating this pain, and that alone has justified the price for me. That it's also the best controller money can buy is just icing on the cake.
I have one and I don't own an xbox one, it's the best controller available, sure it's bit pricy but well given the amount of use it gets I don't mind.
Console peasants will pay for anything tbh
That's rich coming from the Hermits.
PC gamers are far more social than console gamers. Hermit doesn't work for you.
I really don't trust the build quality and with new consoles on the horizon I'll wait a little. It's a little high a price to 'try'. Who knows, the NX controller may work on PC, and Nintendo stuff never dies on me.
The people who have claimed to have the elite controller said they use it on PC.
There goes your theory out the window.
What do you need $150 controller on PC for? Most PC gamers don't use controller in majority of games

Games like Fifa or racing game or action games play like sh1t on KB/M.
You don't use any controller on your PC ?

How does that work, if someone's a peasant it suggests they have no money. so how would a peasant be able to afford to drop £120 on a controller?
Also how would you explain the mice and keyboards for the high brow elite PC gamers. You can easy pay upwards of £100 more a Razor mouse.
Be honest was you posting b*llocks?

Yes sports games but racing games I would use a racing wheel especially for $150 a cheap racing wheel is much better than any controller. I used to play FIFA on PC with controller and it doesn't make much difference what controller you use.

Console peasant is a mentality it's not actually literal
Yikes, grats, I said when the Elite was announced I'd wait until it's like $79.99, looks like it's gonna be a long, long wait lol
I'm willing to pay up for a good input device. I have a couple of good arcade sticks, a good gaming mouse, and an assortment of quality game pads. Also thinking about investing in a new racing wheel soon. If you're really into gaming then I see no point in cheaping out on your means of input.
But I'd really have to try out the Elite to see what it's all about. $150 for what looks to be a nice quality standard controller? Just not seeing it. You could buy a few nice controllers for that price.
@unrealgunner: I don't have the room to set up a driving wheel. And it's a bigger waste of money to just buy a controller you can only use for one genre.
Like I said: controllers are better at action games, sports games and racing games. Racing wheels are soley for racing games.
Though an analog stick is never as accurate as a steering wheel, I think the triggers on the Xbone controller are pretty close to pedals.

A mentality held by who though. You or the console gamer?
I can't believe how it is priced just as much as some of the high end mechanical keyboards.
It's about 80 bucks cheaper then a comparative scuff controller. and Scuffs entire company is selling high end controllers. There was clearly a market for it.
$150 for a much higher quality controller makes a lot of sense if you're going to use it a lot. My Xbox One and PS4 controllers already have a noticeable amount of wear. If I played my Xbox One more often I would look into a solid controller that wouldn't fail me after a long period of rigorous use.
I use it for my PC too :P
Same. I prefer to play Witcher 3 on PC with a controller. 29 USD adapter for wireless is amazing. Best controller I've ever used.
Anyone surprised that it's the cows that are the only ones downplaying the success of this high end controller? I think not.
There looking at the price $150 which is why they are going crazy but at the same time, $150 is indeed a lot of money for a controller but guess what, I still bought one for my PC.

I have no problem if they don't personally find value in it, or even if they can't afford it. If someone wants to buy a Ford Focus because they find value in it or that is what they can afford, that is life, and it's all good. But for those of us that buy the Ford Mustang because we want more or have more, no need to hate on us. Both do the same thing, but accomplish it in different ways.
I spent $600 on a PS3 when it first came out. Because I could and because I wanted it. No reason to hate on me for buying the most expensive one...or hate on anyone for that matter.
This is a hobby, and people are passionate about their hobby. We will never all be on the same page, but the one thing we can all agree on is that we love gaming.
@aroxx_ab: Who is claiming a million sold?
You?
Show me where and I'll give you my Elite controller.
The thread title says "I wont pay $150 for a controller they say?" implying that people are in fact buying them therefore "sold" a million. Can I have your Elite controller? lol
Touche!

Exactly what? Lol
People are buying them otherwise they wouldn't be making their millionth. MAKING THEIR MILLIONTH, NOT SOLD THEIR MILLIONTH.

The fact that you have to explain this is... well, it's SW lol.
It's not like MS only sold a few hundred of these things and decided to make a million of them. Obviously the amount currently produced is greater than the amount sold, but it can't be too far off.

It hurts my brain :P
I want one, i still use my trusty Black 360 one though, it's bad for fighting games though, terrible D-Pad, i have a PS2 type controller for fighting.
Made and sold are different things, hehe... Though I'll say that if they've made a million, one could theorize that they've sold more than we all may have realized. Then again, MS has become proficient in taking near-billion dollar write offs.......
I have managed to "kill off" my Xbox one controller. This is the first time, I had a controller die on me. This was the stock controller that came with the Xbox one console. It just was worn out from use, The right thumb stick developed a fault, and the rubber covering worn away. The build quality was just not as good as Xbox controller S and Xbox 360 controllers.
So if the $150.00 Xbox one controller is better quality then people will buy it. So it seems that Microsoft has managed to do that with the Xbox one elite controller. So if people require a controller for better on-line competitive gaming. MS had you covered. This controller is worth it.
