This post will probably bring alot of tears and whining from Sony fanboys, but the following is the way it is. Things are looking bad for PS3 owners. Why? I'll tell ya why. I was thinking about purchasing a PS3. I was under the false impression that it would be the best of the best. After it arrived and I did research, as time went on, I found that the graphics were generally equal to the 360 and the PS3 had no stand-out launch games(don't try to come in with the whole"but the 360 launch titles were worse" because its totally irrelevant). Basically, the PS3 was and is too expensive and has a very weak library. The only thing it has going for it is Blu Ray and a larger HD which aren't large enough factors. The only reason people would give for buying it is that the PS3 would come out with stellar games in the future. The first 2 (supposed to be) stellar games? VF5 and Motorstorm. You know what happened there. If I were a Sony fan, I would be disturbed that these huge titles were let downs. It could be an indication of future disappointment. No one should take a gamble and buy a system for what games WILL come in the future. Looks like that gamble may not be paying off. Maybe Metal gear, Final Fantasy, and god of war won't be restrained by a developer-unfriendly design. If I'd purchased a PS3, I'd be worried. Trashfacegood for you... Next lemming please!
Well I have a PS3 and why would I be worried !? X-box users in the previous gen where happy with their console even if the PS2 totaly dominated that era. So if ever that indeed the PS3 wont be able to take the crown this generation then whats the big deal? I will just wait for about 3 or 4 years on what will be the outcome of the market and buy 360 if necessary. Also by then the 360 would be cheaper.
Why would be worried? Unless if anyone of us is working with Sony or Microsoft then there is no reason to side and stick with one system, we are consumers in the market and we should have fun!

My worry would be that the system would die leaving me high and dry. It probably won't completely tank, but the high price+weak library is very bad news. You're right about being able to buy a 360 if it tanks, but that's $600 lost. Then again, how important is money really? 10 years ago, we were spending over a grand on pentium 2 computers.Well I have a PS3 and why would I be worried !? Okay, how's this :
It's quite possibly one of the most horrible and lame attempt at an actual thread and post.
I don't want to say it is a Real post, because it doesn't deserve any Relevancy, Whatsoever.
In fact, it isn't even the most horrible, scratch that, this thread isn't first in any category, even WORST.

It seems far-fetched at first, but when you think about it, it seems very possible. Gamecube had a much better library (thus far in the PS3's life) and was much cheaper. Judging by those factors, the PS3 could follow the way of the cube..or worse.[QUOTE="Call_me_Daddy"][QUOTE="Trashface"][QUOTE="SolidTy"]I be worried if I agreed with anyone in any subject named Trashface...to each their own though.TrashfaceIf you're so ignorant as to judge people by user names, then I pity you. if you are so ignorant to judge a console by its first 3 months then i envy your ignorance and can only dream of the bliss you preside in. The PS2 was lashed at horribly, and that flopped. Heck, all system's, including my 360, were bashed when they come out. Still, the major players are lining up, and all the system's offer something unique for gamers.

Okay, fair enough. However, the way this forum reads, it should be called PS3 Wars, with some dabbling in SW here and there. It hasn't been SW for awhile.
If the PS3 was older, then maybe I could relate with his post, but right now, it's just too new to judge. Sure, Sony makes some mistakes, as do Nintendo, and M$, but overall, The Wii and PS3 are just getting going, so his post describing where it's going is too early and far off base. It's decribing a reality that many simply can't fathom, and here's why :
At This point, considering Heavy hitters like Gran Turismo, Ratchet, Devil May Cry, God Of War, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Naughty Dog's Upcoming Games, and more haven't hit yet, it's hard to see the PS3 being in such a terrible shape, not to mention the fact most PS2 users haven't made the next gen jump. Now, we can't automatically assume they are all getting a PS3, but many will, if Sony plays their cards right.
Still, Good day to you.

We'll see.Sony has always had a propensity for having a mediocre to okay launch lineup, then approximately a Year Later, having the games people want.
What great PS2 games were out in this part of the PS2's life rocked? How about the PSOne? See what I mean.
Propaganda from other companies are just spreading like wildfire in online communities, but the thing is, like always, they will eventually fall flat.
In the meantime though, Will it sell a few more 360's? That's the nature of the game.

I wonder if this thread was made in response to the direct and obvious failure of Motorstorm to dethrone the 360. Simply put, the 360 has a larger, better selection of games than the PS3. It's also cheaper and is in the same graphical area. Are there any good reasons to buy a PS3? No, but there is the one bad reason that people buy this system. Biased , blind loyalty.Trashface
[QUOTE="fartgorilla"]Wow...do they actually think that'll fly? Charging PC gamers to play online?! The stupidity is...breathtaking. The demo was terrible. The Japanease version was pathetic....Next fanboy please. And learn how to spell Japanese.

Who knows, maybe the PS3 will drop it's price and release super-awesome games that will take over the world. I would be worried.
Trashfacethe point of this thread is to scare away the potential buyers? you're whining about the price and weak libraries of a system that hasn't been out long. you have proved your point and did your homework so go pick up a 360 and gears of war.
[QUOTE="SolidTy"][QUOTE="Trashface"][QUOTE="SolidTy"]If everyone would read the post carefully, what I was saying is that PS3 buyers could only give one reason for buying it, how great the future games are. Every one of the great games have dissapointed. If I were a PS3 owner, this trend would worry me. That is plenty logical and not narrow minded. What I just typed wasn't even judging the system. As I predicted, the whining and tears have ensued even though eveything I typed made perfect sense and was totally civil.[QUOTE="Trashface"][QUOTE="Call_me_Daddy"] if you are so ignorant to judge a console by its first 3 months then i envy your ignorance and can only dream of the bliss you preside in.FatalDomain
Do you really think it's a new Idea to strike a system down when it's new?
The PS2 was lashed at horribly, and that flopped. Heck, all system's, including my 360, were bashed when they come out. Still, the major players are lining up, and all the system's offer something unique for gamers.
