iCEnhancer 2.0 Release Video - PC gaming is keeping GTA IV alive

Icenhancer uses ENB, and ENB is meant to be used on GTA IV v1.0.4.0 or v.1.0.0.4 (patch 4 or 5). I'd really recommend that at least for the base game you downgrade to those versions, and for EFLC, well, you're outta luck. Double check that you've installed the filecheck fix, are using xliveless, and have followed the instructions in the readme to the letter.princeofshapeir

Gotta love the way the creator markets his mod....using shots of modded cars and textures that arent part of his mod and making them like 90% of his screens, instead of showing what the mod itself does to the base game and how it improves it or alters, it's like he's showing off his shiny reflections on other people's car models.

Fact is Piracy is far more rampant on consoles. Look at your used game section at your local gamestop. Fact is you consolites are bigger pirates than pc gamers.

Yes, I finally got this mod to work. Too bad at 1920x1200 it lowers my FPS like this pic, but at lower resolution I get higher FPS.

I had to mess with the files so it should look different if I screw around more.

Is it still a boring game? If so, I wouldn't call this an "improvement".

Is it just me, or did that look worse than the pics/vids I saw of the mod before (assuming the old stuff was version 1.0).

This thread made me reinstall GTA....with my own tweaks...F*ck icenhancer :P

I guess I have good luck then. Playing at a framerate almost twice the console version while also at a resolution twice that of the console version... so yea... I got good luck I guess.

getting 60-100fps without ICEnhancer....so much for an unoptimized game :P

i5 2500k (with a Cooler Master 212 Plus), EVGA 560ti 2Win, Asus Sabertooth mobo, and 8GB RAM all at stock speeds.

EDIT: I guess I should add that my settings are not at max, sorry if it came across like I had AA set to x16 or x32 or something like that since for me, anything beyond x8 is overkill and x4 is just fine.

Maybe at 720 and 30 frames per second, but at 1080 (or more) and beyond 30 fps I too doubt it.

It looks great but GTAIV doesn't need mods to stay alive, the game is good enough to have plenty of people still playing it.fabz_95
