Ico Collection PS2 vs PS3 (So Beautiful........Tears)

The Most beautiful Art style ever in a video game comes to life on the PS3. Gone are the horrible aliasing, jaggies and inconsistent framerate. Omg you must watch both of the video come to life. It looks like a Disney movie (art style, not grafix). and team Ico's custom Motion blur on the ps2 really shows on the PS3. Please watch full screen and in 720p and get ready to CRY

some games i dont mind playing a remake or HD update but sometimes i want to see what the developers were able to accomplish back in the day...

In any case, just preordered this, UC3, Vita, Batman AC and Skyrim at Gamestop and picked up Deus Ex. Im readyyyyy.

i thought i explained my reason in my post :P i like to see graphics from the past systems...each one has their specific kind of graphics...its like reliving history..

almost like choosing vinyl over a SACD.

i got MGS1 for the PS1 even though i own a gamecube and the twin snakes is superior i still got the PS1 version.

If you have a 3DS, im guessing you're just sticking to the N64 versions of all the games? :P

i usually want my "1st experience" to be the original...i already played on n64

never had a ps1/ps2/or ps3 so

i never played ico or shadow thats why id rather play the original first.

...

people who have already beat the games...i can understand them wanted to try new versions..

im just giving my opinions on old graphics and such. and what i feel.

see my post about twin snakes and the gamecube but no...i might skip the ps3 this gen and get the ps4(better be backwards compatible..)

yes.. you know final fantasy on nes and snes? well they were remade on DS or psp right? well im deciding to play the original nes snes versions...

Hmm I never did play Ico and I wouldn't mind playing Shadow of the Colossus at a decent framerate.

The differences though are Vinyl sounds amazing...MP3's stink.

Looks absoutely wonderful. Looking like a Great Remake to two of the greatest PS2 Titles ever. :)

I think I'll buy this hd collection just so I can experience SOTC with a silky smooth framerate.

Looks stunning for a remaster. People always say that graphics don't make a good game but, in Ico's and SotC's case, it certainly does help. Too bad they couldn't get it to be locked at 60 fps.

Though I think the frame rate issues is the big change to the game, and not so much the graphics. That was a huge problem In SotC.

That's what I was going to say.

Vinyl is not a valid comparison, because it's actually DIFFERENT. It's analogue vs. digital, and in theory vinyl can offer more than even uncompressed CD's (nevermind itunes compressed MP3's, which absolutely do stink).

In case of playing PS2 version or PS3 version of a "remastered" game, it would really be a sad effort if the PS2 game was actually better in any way at all. At minimum the resolution and framerates should be better every single time, and all other things would be equal.

team ico didnt go for 60fps for a reason, they wanted to keep the mood. 60fps will make it feel more like a camcorder and less like a sad lonely movie. for the people expercting the last guardian like graphics....this is a remaster, Not a remake.

That was incredible. Watched it all. Never played Ico, so I'm really looking forward to this.

What is this? System Wars always says resolution doesnt make a signifigant difference when talking pc vs console, why should it be any different now?

Shadow of the colossus for the Ps3 looks downright amazing. Better than 95% of current console games really :P

i can't wait, i swear i'm more hyped for ico collection than anything that has been on ps3 up to this point.

J-dev is so mindnumbingly terrible 99% of the time but when they get it right boy do they ever get it right.
