Ico Collection PS2 vs PS3 (So Beautiful........Tears)

i can't wait, i swear i'm more hyped for ico collection than anything that has been on ps3 up to this point.

J-dev is so mindnumbingly terrible 99% of the time but when they get it right boy do they ever get it right.

hm... Im getting this instead of Deus Ex, RAGE, Dark Souls, and gears of War.

Because shadow of the collossus is just better then all the gamwa mentioned above.

Team Ico was too good for the PS2's limitations.

and why are you mad though? just don't buy the game if you don't like it.

I love the changes, I remember playing SoTC on my BC PS3 and never had a problem with jaggies or the framerate. It only had distance pop-up textures that someone could find troubling, but it is definitely the best looking game of the last generation (seriously, have the other games were just cartoony like GoW and Halo) other than Rouge Squadron. It looks better than most early current gen games and all Wii games period. Blabadon

That's what I was going to say.

Vinyl is not a valid comparison, because it's actually DIFFERENT. It's analogue vs. digital, and in theory vinyl can offer more than even uncompressed CD's (nevermind itunes compressed MP3's, which absolutely do stink).

In case of playing PS2 version or PS3 version of a "remastered" game, it would really be a sad effort if the PS2 game was actually better in any way at all. At minimum the resolution and framerates should be better every single time, and all other things would be equal.

i said ALMOST... what i meant is that back in 1970..people heard black sabbath debut on a record with pops clicks and all that....now a days the cd or sacd is completely clean and maybe sounds just as good...but when i go to the thrift store and buy that beat up sabbath record and listen to it...i get transported back to 1970.. thats what i meant.

looks very nice but would have the game be released on pc back then all what you would care about is to hack the resolution to make it 16:9, instead of repaying.

i thought i explained my reason in my post :P i like to see graphics from the past systems...each one has their specific kind of graphics...its like reliving history..

almost like choosing vinyl over a SACD.

SOTC at 60fps stops this from being an unnecessary cash-in, that game deserves this.

I never played the Ico game but i have Shadow of the colossus. Cant wait to play the remastered Ps3 version of Ico, hope it is good as SOTC :D

i had n64 instead of ps1...

stopped gaming for like 10 years because my life went down the toilet....i picked up the pieces and started gaming again this gen..

however im a litle miffed at sony and i wanted superior online so i bought the 360.... i definitely want to play some ps3 games but ill probably do that with the ps4 if its backwards compatible...god of war3 and uncharted seem like they are really good.

besides i have a ps2 now and my library is growing.

The beauty of SoTC is there isn't much to look at. The minimalistic style really seperates it from other games.
