If a Hermit had to get a console...

I would probably get a PS3.

1. Most games on 360 are on PC.

2. PS3 in the next year or two will have amazing graphics(for consoles) because of the cell.

3. It will last a long time(look at the PS2).

4. I would have to say MGS4 and KZ2 look pretty sweet.

So I am sharing why I will probably get this in the next year and I am giving the cows props.

yeah i have a ps3 as well, it doesnt compare at all to my PC performance and ownage wise, but its still an awesome machine and a good home theatre solution, just which it would support more formats natively.

also i dont know why I have zero interest in ninendo games, if i did, a Wii would be an amazing addition to a kickass gaming pc.

Haha no it wasn't the RRoD, I returned it because i simply wasn't satisfied with it. Like you, I can't stand it when people bring up the RRoD as an excuse for not liking a console

Wii for me.

All killer apps or great games on the wii aren't on any other platform and it offers a complete unique experience. Unlike the PS3 and X360 which are similar to each other and share exclusives. I'm sure one who wants PS3 are the ones who want Japanese games.

For real hermits there is only one option - X360. After this they could dump PC as well, cause all good PC games are multiplats with X360 and best X360 games are mostly exclusives or get on PC after year or three.goddamn_

I'm already planning on picking up a PS3 for the console exclusive stuff I'm interested in (Burnout Paradise, Ninja Gaiden: Sigma, etc.), and it'd be nice to have a Blu-Ray player hanging around.Shadow-Eagle

Easily the PS3 for me:

- GT5, Uncharted, MGS4 and other relatively interesting titles that for sure won't end up on PC
- Good enough graphics
- Gives access to those PS3/360 multiplats PC misses out, like GTA4, Condemned 2 etc.
- Few genres that PC doesn't have, Fighters and jRPG
- As a PC gamer I absolutely will not play FPS on a controller, but FragFX would certainly do in an emergency
- As a casual online gamer I will not pay for it, but it's nice to still have the option to kick some ass online
- Reliable, good amount of features for the price, even runs Linux

Wii is simply too expensive considering the graphics and features it offers, 360 on the other hand is unrealiable, shares lot of its titles with PC and makes you pay for online.

Other than Ninja Gaiden II, there isn't anything that really stands out on the 360 for me, while the PS3 has a few other exclusives I'm keeping an eye on.

It is the exact opposite for me there is the only ps3 exclusive I am looking at RFOM2 but i defiantly don't need it at all.
