Well, I think it worth to post the list of games I have. Specially for everybody: X360 GRAW 1,2 has nothing common with PC GRAW, one-three years old port can't be considered as multiplats but only as dinner at salvation army.

PDZ
DOA 4
PGR 3
COD 2 (multiplat with PC)
Oblivion (multiplat with PC)
Burmout Revenge
GRAW (multiplat with pc)

Dead Rising
COD 3 (multiplat with pc)

Gears (multiplat with pc)

R6 Vegas (multiplat with PC)
Crackdown
GRAW 2 (multiplat with pc)

Forza 2
Bioshock (multiplat with PC)
Halo 3
PGR 4
Virtua Fighter 5
Mass Effect (coming to pc)

Halo 2
Black
Forza
Conker

Well, 4 multiplats

goddamn_

Fixed. And look at that, the remaining games are all lower than AAA. (except for Halo 3,but hermits have much higher standards than that garbage)

I repeat - I have THREE multiplats with PC from TWENTY with something my Xbox games.

So what are interesting? Casual trash like COD 4 or NFS I guess?

Alan Wake, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Eternal Sonata

Here are a few games that i'm interested in, that are on the 360, that I will have access to without one.

I only game on PC right now,but my next console is definitely gonna be a Wii,got a 360 a year ago, liked it at first, but it collected dust quite quick, the online community was medicore at best, few games on there that i couldn't get for PC,and it got RRoDed in august,i went back to best buy and returned it,didn't want it back.

Sony games are not similar to PC games, to be honest as hardcore long term PC gamer I don't like them.

X360 games are pretty same style as PC games

I agree, it started with COD 2. The whole game just one annoying script with zero freedom and you even can't kill anybody cause enemies run from same spot as bugs doesn't matter are you shooting or not.

But COD 2 had around 50% of endless enemies, and COD 4 has almost 100%

Whether they disagree with me has little to do with the individual merits of the game. VCOD was a much more hardcore game. The regeneration of the health TOTALLY messed with the flow and pacing of the game itself. COD has become ever more casual in comparison to vanilla.

Just talking about facts which don't depend on any critics. Can you kill anybody in COD 4? Ecxept the very begining - no.

How you can advance through the game? The only one way - run to the next trigger. Shooting won't help at all.

What the most stupid game experience in the whole gaming history? Saving pilot with TIMER and ENDLESS enemies. I laughed half an hour.

From an 'it'd be cool to have that' perspective, either the PS3 or 360 would suffice, but ultimately my PC provides all the 'next-gen' gaming I need - I'd get the Wii as a sort of casual (party) gaming machine.

Umm just because I am saying I like the PS3 doesnt mean Im a cow. Read my specs(computer hardware). I am more of a hermit than anything.

I said that because of your previous posts...

I actually agreed. A hermit would laugh at the cell being a sole excuse for better eventual graphics. It's better at graphics than a desktop x64 CPU is, but gets trashed at graphics by a dedicated GPU.

I would probably get a PS3.

1. Most games on 360 are on PC.

2. PS3 in the next year or two will have amazing graphics(for consoles) because of the cell.

3. It will last a long time(look at the PS2).

4. I would have to say MGS4 and KZ2 look pretty sweet.

So I am sharing why I will probably get this in the next year and I am giving the cows props.

ndrewn
Already ahead of you. I got my PS3 two Fridays ago and am loving it. I got the 80GB version with Motorstorm. I also got Assassin's Creed, Burnout, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, Warhawk, and Oblivion GOTY Edition. I really don't see why anybody with a Gaming PC would pick a 360 over a PS3.

Bar Eternal Sonata- Everything else is on/will be hitting the pc

I put Eternal Sonata in there since I thought we moved on to the topic of "why don't you own a 360?!!?!!?!"- In which case, it's coming out on the PS3 with extra content.

Live, pretty much. It makes multiplayer games much more enjoyable than on the PS3 by default if you're talking a console experience, Warhawk aside. And it's a much more consistent experience as far as the games/ports that are placed there. The PS3 will probably be great later when they settle down and get more stuff out for it. Missing out on Uncharted, LBP and Warhawk would hurt. With Forza v. GT5, I'm still taking a severely 'wait and see' approach to see if they actually do improve the game, or just make it prettier graphics + more of the same cars yet again. Forza 2 erred on the side of gameplay at the expense of graphics, which I liked quite a bit. And there's a bunch of other exclusives that I don't really care much about.

Sorry, but thats a fact. Vanilla COD required much more strategy, dedication, etc than COD2, and the regenerating health did change the pacing of the gameplay. This pacing lends itself to casual play and isn't anywhere near as indepth as VCOD. The same could be said about COD4. None of that is opinion, its all fact.

It is a very good opinion, and likely correct. CoD4 is an awesome ride, but an extremely linear one. It's become much more popular as they've made it much more accessible and less hardcore, similar to.. oh, I don't know, Elder Scrolls games? Flight Sims? Racing sims? Usually the less unforgiving and less complex they are, the more popular they are. Compare CoD4 or GRAW to Operation Flashpoint or ArmA. The former a lot of people consider 'realistic' somehow, usually by the same people that complain about dying in the latter two games without even seeing who shot you. Yes, that's kind of the idea in war.

Alright then, highlight anything in there that could POSSIBLY be construed as an opinoin. COD required much more strategy than COD2: FACT Regenerating health changed the pacing of the gameplay: FACT The pacing lends itself to casual play and isn't as indepth as VCOD: FACT I didn't say anythinga bout the game being good or bad, everything I started was objective, observable phenomena, fact.

how is that fact? everything you state is your opinion. sure, these differences in play change the pacing, but do not necessarily change something from casual to hardcore. that, my friend, is your opinion. secondly, give me a solid example of how cod required more strategy than cod2.

I'm speaking in degrees here. COD2 is MUCH more casual than VCOD. Thats not to say that COD2 is a casual game. Comparetively speaking, its a casual game. Prior to regenerating health people had to micromanage their kills and health, and how they played was governed by how much health they had, which choke points they were at, etc. Because of regenerating health, all those concerns have flown out the window. There are far less things that a player has to worrya bout thanks to regenerating health. This pacing is comparetively casual, fact. Nothing I stated was an opinoin, and you need something better if you wanna get some where.

I don't know much about live because I don't have a 360, but I don't see it having anything special over PSN. Most of the crap I see lemmings bragging about when it comes to live aren't anything special to me. Besides PC online kills live anyways, so I already have the best online experience.

*Looks at Halo 2 PC sales*...

stephant_6

A three yr old xbox game that is vista only.

Halo 2 pc is basically a atempt to make money off of kids who didn't have a console or a gaming pc but played with their friends and when vista came out the kids would mommy I wanna play halo and they would buy a vista pc and this works because the game is old and not hard to run.

Sorta off topic: Halo 2 is by far the worst.

Ok let me sum this up about the games.

1. PC has more exclusives than 360 so when you are done with those you can play the 360 multiplats like Gears, Assasins Creed, and Mass Effect.

2. PS3 offers more of a different variety of games than 360(compared to PC)

3. Whats the rush with Halo 3, Oh I guess you want to hurry up and finish your 6hrs of SP.

Wii

Hermits always talk screen resolution so I'm guessing playing games on a 50inch 1080p would be a waste of time to them. Let alone watching movie at such an inferior resolution. Graphics or movie playback will all be output to a low resolution so I don't think that will do it. The Wii is a different way of playing so that might appeal to them more.

In all honesty, you look at PC game sales compared to consules and I have doubts a hermit would ever buy a gaming device. You need to actually buy games for it. I think they enjoy tweaking settings way more than actually playing games so I have doubts they'd buy any console. Theres nothing to tweak and you have to buy games to enjoy it.

I don't know much about live because I don't have a 360, but I don't see it having anything special over PSN. Most of the crap I see lemmings bragging about when it comes to live aren't anything special to me. Besides PC online kills live anyways, so I already have the best online experience.l-_-l
It's basically perfect for online multiplayer, except costing money and the general lack of dedicated servers - but I guess those don't play nice with matchmaking, either, so it's a bit of a wash. Imagine if Steam was built into Windows, and everybody that played games used it. It just works. Multiplayer console games, with all of my friends and I, go to 360 by default right now. Even with some console-centric multiplats it's a tough decision between 360 and PC, like R6V or CoD4. And I guarantee I'm a bigger hermit in practice than you are, or nearly anybody else in this forum except for maybe Adrian. :D TF2 and Sins basically eat my gaming time right now.

Well, I think it worth to post the list of games I have. Specially for everybody: X360 GRAW 1,2 has nothing common with PC GRAW, one-three years old port can't be considered as multiplats but only as dinner at salvation army.

PDZ
DOA 4
PGR 3
Burmout Revenge
GRAW
Dead Rising
Crackdown
Forza 2
Halo 3
PGR 4

goddamn_

Fixed...those are the only games on 360 that you cant play if you own a PC/PS3.....Majority of which are racing.....not so good now is it?

[QUOTE="clone01"]how is that fact? everything you state is your opinion. sure, these differences in play change the pacing, but do not necessarily change something from casual to hardcore. that, my friend, is your opinion. secondly, give me a solid example of how cod required more strategy than cod2.Vandalvideo
Nothing I stated was an opinoin, and you need something better if you wanna get some where.

no, i need to prove nothing. you need to back up statement with fact, which you haven't done.
