especially considering FF7 AC was probably the worst movie ive ever seen in my whole life (OMG out of context everyone comes out and helps cloud jump high.. OMG teh high!!!)

FF7 was a huge succes if you compare it to other game movies titles. But my point wasn't about that my point was about making Zelda movie with CGI graphics, instead of real ppl

Zelda's story wouldn't translate too well into a film, methinks. Most of the game is based around going to dungeons.

If they decided to make a Zelda movie the first thing they should do is arrest the people who thought of it. Then they should go for the cast that could damage the series the least. So:

Ganondorf - Danny DeVito
Zelda - Conan O'Brien
Link - Al Pacino

As I said earlier, a Zelda movie is a terrible idea, and I would never want it to happen.

if anything ultra CG would be my choice. We still have yet to see a good CG link video. Its all in engine, imagine what it would look like with say, shrek textures and lighting... very cool.

Actually a Legend of Zelda film would translate pretty well to a live action film. People thought Lord of the Rings wouldn't but it did. Same for Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter. Look at how well done Pirates of the Caribbean was made. What it needs is a good script and a good budget(this is the most important thing). Break it down to two or three films if need be so it isn't rushed. I'd only be happy if a decent director was put behind it. Not a huge name but someone that can do decent work and Nintendo has be heavily involved in it's creation to help with it's direction. They have to sign off on it in the end I feel.

Ummm thats japan, and as far as I know Zelda is made by a japanese dev, who leader is a japanese guy. Anyways it was because of that I said the best option for a Zelda movie is CGI.

Except that Chronicles of Narnia and Lord of the Rings actually had stories to go from, and characters with defined personalities. And Pirates of the Caribbean had so little stuff tied to it, it may as well have been an original film.

How are you going to make a Zelda movie? You have a main character who doesn't talk, yet the entire quest of the game is based around his actions. He goes through dungeons looking for weapons and artifacts, totally on his own. The main female character is generally far away for most of the adventure. Even the main villain doesn't usually take a very active role during Link's quest.

Either you make a movie that follows the game itself very closely, which would be very boring, or you completely change everything, in which case, it wouldn't be Zelda. It's simply not possible to make a Zelda movie that stays true to Zelda while being worth watching. Even if it could work, the amount of creative skill to pull it off likely wouldn't be present.

Ever see the Legend of Zelda cartoon? It isn't a good legacy.
