If Apple made a console, would you buy it?

Something in the same style as the 360 or Ps3. With the same games and such. I'm sure I would... I'd probably sell my Ps3 to get it.

apple made a console before and no one bought it, so what do you think? the answer is no. but since today for some odd reason (ipod/iphone) apple is "popular", people might buy one just to say they have it and to show it off. will they be a big player int he industry. hell no. apple can't even make an ipod that doesn't explode. hell they even threaten people not to talk about it when it does blow up.

Depends on if it has the games I want.

apple has no gaming cred. They would have to storm the industry like sony and throw money around like mad, buying off 3rd parties. At least microsoft had some 1st party experience in making games as well as relationships with game developers in the pc realm that are still paying off to this day. I'll consider any console after I look at its merits, but I don't see how apple could pull it off at this point

Oh hell no. It would probably be overpriced with underpowered hardware (like the wii but even worse), and the first party would be trash if it even existed.

I usually wait a year after a console launches to decided whether or not to purchase it. If the games are solid and it's not to expensive, I'd buy it.

Lets see, a console with hardware equal to last generation consoles pepped up with a fancy white design, a 1000$ price tag and you can use it to makes videos and look at pictures... no thank you

There was a story in the news yesterday about it and i just typed apple exploding ipods into google and zillions of links came up.
