[QUOTE="Nikalai_88"][QUOTE="Rollingstones7"]wii- The Who- can be either quick and fun or somewhat deep
360- Pink Floyd- Deep and intellecual
PS3- Dave Mathews band- has a loyal following, but not quite main stream

Then the 360 after great success is going loose a central piece and provide a mediocre effort until it completely falls apart. That's if it can handle frying its memory.
Imo you cant even try to classify the 360 like Pink Floyd, im sorry but they were easily the greatest prog rock band of all time, no one can touch them in terms of quality. Syd's time with the band was short, but seriously, Piper At the Gates of Dawn is just such a weird album, sounds a lot like something the Beatles would do, just with a psychadelic twist. Piper couldnt even compare to Meddle, WYWH, Animals, Darkside of the Moon or The Wall in terms of greatness.
I got a bike you can ride it if you like. They were definitely the most accessible and less weird progrock band but Genesis and Yes have their high points too with albums Selling England by the Pound and Close to the Edge.
If you ask me Pink Floyd went down in quality with Animals (good music, bad lyrics (Animal Farm?)) and The Wall (bad music, somewhat good lyrics ruined by the fact that it's about crybaby Roger Waters)
But, yes I agree if there is the dumb console for this generation its generally the Xbox 360 continuing the legacy of its predecessor with now dumbing down The Elder Scrolls with level scaling and the green quest marker. I wonder what PC franchise will be next? Although I hear Operation Flashpoint 2 will be multiplatform. PS2 at least had games with puzzle elements like Ico or complex stories that made you think like Metal Gear Solid.
PC- The Human Abstract
PS3- The Dillinger Escape Plan
360- Isis
Wii- 3 Inches Of Blood
All are good in their different way. :)

Animals was a really weird album, not my favourite by a long shot and neither is The Wall, both have great tunes though. I mean seriously, you cant argue with Comfortably Numb, imo the greatest guitar solo piece ever written (I love the live version so much better). The Final Cut was crap thats for sure, once again as you said, it was Waters and his being angry at the world which made it such a terrible album. I really dont blame the rest of the band for wanting out at that point because they were on a landslide after The Wall.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about because none of the bands I listen to are even close to emo. It's all tech metal and just metal.
Plus Nirvana is awful. I never thought suicide could make an awful band popular.

Granted, those are the only Who albums I have. I've also heard "Baba O'Reilly," which I liked, though. >_>
360 - idk. Something very rock ish that appeals strongly to male teens and young adults. Can't think of a good one right nowGoten_kingQueen. Gears of War and Halo are like "We Will Rock You" for that console. I would consider Kotor or Mass Effect to be their "Bohemian Rhapsody." >_>
Oh, and Bohemian Rhapsody is the best song ever written. >_>
Such a great song. Wayne's World got +3 respect for their head banging car scene with that song.Oh, and Bohemian Rhapsody is the best song ever written. >_>

It's really hard to tell which analogies are meant to be positive and negative.poovineWith mine:
The Who for Wii - original and influencial in their own ways.
Queen for the 360 - very widely popular, and deserving of that popularity
Green Day for the PS3 - popular with a few good things going for them, but whether they deserve all their popularity is somewhat debateable
TMBG for the PC - not everybody knows about them, but that doesn't have anything to do with lack of quality

It's on Queen's "Greatest Hits" Album. It's by Freddie Mercury himself, and it's one of my favorite songs of his, just second to Bohemian Rhapsody.PannicAtackWell. I have that album, so I must have heard it. I can't "hear" it in my mind, though.

I think that hit the nail right on the head.
this was my line of thinking for that:
PS3 = complicated = dream theater
360 = cool/fun/badass = pantera
wii = fun = dragonforce (which also sounds like nintendo music..so yeah!)Â
360=Linkin Park...cool, edgey
PS3=Elton John...paying too much for what you get, living on past successes
Wii...Kelly Clarkson...aimed at the younger crowd

I'd take At The Gates over Slayer anyday. Slayer is one of the most overrated metal bands. I like them, but I just don't think they are as good as other thrash bands like At The Gates and Darkest Hour.
