if Gears is overrated what should've won GOTY 2006 ?

not to mention even on a objective level almost everyone should agree if it wasnt the best it was one of the best in Voice acting, Sound, Music, Weapons and Multiplayer .

Gears warrants is score last year easily , if it came out now a 9.0 in this scale , but it didnt . Get over you Prime 3 and Bioshock Woes and trying to pass this transgression onto a masterpiece. Standards go up after time

Gears multiplayer is absolute shyte. the P2P gives host a huge advantage, and it just devolves into people blasting shotguns and hoping that they get to kill the other first. Not fair and even at all.

Keep in mind I don't own a PS3 or a gaming PC, so Resistance and Company of Heroes could also be high on that list.

Lets see...Okami held my attention for 40+ hours, Gears of War did for almost 5. I vote for Okami.

Who cares if there were no voice acting(actually it sorta did have some), the game is still amazing.

Zelda:TP was so epic that it was not just a game but an experience. It perfected the style created by OOTto such a degree that they will have to completly change the entire series because no further improvementscan be made to the current formula.It was a game that deserved to be GOTY for 2006. However, if Zelda had lost to a game like Okami then I guess that would have been ok considering that Okami is an amazing experience as well.

Zelda and Okami both remind me of why I play games. Gears was ok as a FPS but one year later I find myself playing R6:LV way more.

Zelda didnt have next gen graphics, did nothing new for the series, had bad sound, no voice acting, and the music was subpar. thats GOTY roffles

Yes, because reviewers are also hardcore gamers, just like us posting on system wars. Not fanboys of a console but rather FPS games. I mean I can understand why, because AMERICANS who are the reviewers of the gamerankings like FPS games just like Japan like RPGs and reviews FPS lower. At the end, it's about gaming culture.

pic? the lighting in Alan Wake is nice...but all the in Crysis is natrual light....not artificial...which allows for things like light beams which Alan Wake does not have.
