so who here works for/getting paid by Microsoft. I know that some people on here do work for MS, anyone read the latest EGM? it's called co-opt advertising or whatever, Spies that inject propaganda and nonsense.
IF GEars of War was PS3 exclusive it would get a 8.5. "Bad Ai, Short SP Campagin, MP only 8 players, takes ideas from Resident Evil 4 and Killswitch" is what GS would put in their review..nanomecha4

If a kid gets hit by lightening in Tanzania, you'd probably blame Microsoft.
Do you really believe all what Sony did and claimed the past two years was actually coming from Microsoft? Or you believe that Microsoft paid studios to release inferior PS3 versions of their multiplatform games?
There is no question that Gears of War, if it had all of the LIVE features that make it such a great gameplay experience on the PS3, could have been a Halo-Killer. However, the PSN is not yet what LIVE is, which would have hindered GoW in becoming as succesful as it was.
Remember, Halo isn't about the single player game - trying to kill it with a single player story is like trying to claim Metroid Prime 3 is the next Counterstrike. Without the *solid* online you can't be a Halo-Killer.

why not? Gamespot is hired by microsoft, it's apparent. I suppose Microsoft owns EGM, IGN, GS, and the dozens of developers who have voiced concerns about the PS3 as well? So when Official Playstation Magazine raises an eyebrow at the $600 price tag? Guess they're "teh bias" too.

I think they would, most people here can't tell the difference between an fps and tps. So the public might see it that way. If Gears of War was on PS3 exclusively, there would be no reason to buy a 360 for a whole 2 years! Playstation fans, would never let this die. Although most playstation fans don't care that Gears is exclusive. So many great upcoming games, and games already released.

They have invested so much time and effort into "GeoW suxxx" threads that the only other possible answer is that they are insane. You pick.

Quite Possibly. It seems many people absolutely love Gears Of War, almost as much as Halo. I would be surprised if it was not called the "Halo Killer" in that situation.
Even cows have to give Gears credit, just being a gamer you've got to love it, its a great game. Heck if it was on the PS3, i would probably get a PS3.

as for gears killing halo, well ask urself what would u rather play? gears or halo? what scored better? gears or halo? what sold more? gears or halo?....
also if gears was on PS3, lemmings would bash it as much as they do KZ2, if not more, i mean MGS4 got a 10 here on gamespot and lemmings bash it like its some POS game...
If Gears was a PS3 exclusive it would still be an 8.0 in my book. No Halo killer IMO. This thread is pointless anyways because any Gears title is not and never will be on a Sony console!
No. because it wouldn't have done as well, ps3 owners dont buy many games, they just buy lots of movies. So it wouldn't have been as succesful and wouldn't have killed anything, other than possibly itself.
