If Godly Crysis gets AA status on Gamespot, will Hermits accept ownage?

Wait are you saying PC gaming has little following in system wars or worldwide? Because if it is the latter, my statement still stands.

I have just stated system wars, but I think that PC gaming is much bigger in Europe than it is in North America so I cant say worldwide. Just look at the bioshock sales and that will tell you where PC gaming compares to console gaming, or games like madden etc......

nobody ever claimed that. We said it was a great game, with great graphics and we were going to enjoy it. It isn't revolutionary but rather evolutionary. The AI is great, despite what you think. The customizability SHOULD become the standard for gaming and the interactivity SHOULD become the standard. The gameplay is exactly what I expected it to be and that is great. I have played the demo 4 times, and never played it the same way twice. I have a prefered tactic but my execution is different every time. I have also been suprised by the AI's tactics a few times also. Like whena group oftwo AI'sretreated to a more fortified point when I killed the two other members of their Squad. That suprised me...

I don't understand why this gets so many PC gamers too, they're just not as into the mix as the consoles. Must be the sig space for PC specs or somethin : /Re5ident_Evil

I agree it annoys me to death when you are fending off a cow and you have a Hermit come in and say oh well its best on PC this and that. Its like Hermits crave attention.

Bioshock PC sold almost as much Bioshock 360 if you cout worldwide sales. I know the Orange Box PC outsolf Halo 3 during Halo 3's second week out... Thats a testament to the PC community's size. Madden sucks on the PC because EA refuses to actually make it anything more than a roster update... Seriously, '08 had the EXACT SAME Animations, sounds, graphics and commentary. Thats why we refuse to buy it...

What is taht supposed to mean? I already went over why its amazing. The AI uses ACTUAL Military tactics. They RESFUSE to stay still and they try to get out of the line of fire. If you try to snipe them, they do EVERYTHING they can to find cover. They run away, dive on the ground and crawl to cover. They use trees for cover and if you shoot a tree down, they run to find another tree. They hide behind the rocks, they use vehicles as cover, they run into forests to make them more difficult to spot, they are just good. Seriously, if you say this AI is bad, you have got to be joking.

I found the AI to be really good also. But keep in mind we will be facing harder units in the full game. How do I know this? open your sandbox editor and where you choose from the AI, you can only choose from the lowest units(camper/camp). All the camper/elite, jungle/elite are reserved for full game(cant use them in editor) here is a pic :

The arrow is the only AI you can choose from. I blurred out the last unit due to possible spoilers.

I really don't think that's true, which is why it's always strange to me that PC gamers are always called out around here. From what I can see, hermits on SW generally post when they feel there are misconceptions on the PC or its games being flaunted about. I've rarely ever seen a hermit create a thread that just praises the PC and disses consoles, or makes posts to that effect. It happens, yeah, but not nearly as much as PC-bashing threads, which hermits respond to and then are called elitist and arrogant for it. It's a vicious cycle.

I've been fairly seperated from gaming since college (haven't been able to get into any games).

However, Crysis has me wanting to pluck down 1k for a new machine (it still runs nice on my laptop). The nano-suit and environment opens up so many things to do.

In summary, I haven't played games in a few years because I lost interest, but Crysis demo made me orgasm.

According to Gamespot, the second and third levels are tough enough that you basically have to use stealth, or you'll get roasted.

I dont doubt that...the later levels in Farcry were bassiclly impossible to run-and-gun through.

Mass Effect would take a bit of my time I admit, but right now, I have played the Crysis SP Demo 4 times(each time I played it differently) and spend at least an hour a day playing the MP Beta. Both are the most fun I have had in a while.

In the goofy world of System Wars, if Crysis scores an AA then it's considered a flop and when it's a flop the animal representing the game is owned (In this case hermits). Outside of systemwars none of this matters.

And I think Crysis does have a chance of getting 8.5 - knowing PC standards.

Hell its not a god game, like Lems praised Halo 3 to be.
