With the huge amount of excitement and hype surrounding GTA5, I'd say anything less than 90% on metacritic would be a huge disappointment, and anything less than 85% would be disastrous. Personally I predict it'll be around the 92% mark, it wont get the amazing reviews GTA4 got, but chances are it'll be a better game. Theres no way GTA4 deserved the highest metacritic score of all time!

Anything under a 9.0 score-wise would be a super flop.

No, im not really bothered with scores at all cause at the end of the day a score is only 1 mans opinion of a game and i like to make my own rather than have someone elses dictated to me like a parrot:roll:

GTA lV got a 10 and lets face facts that game really wasn't that great, especially compared to RDR. GTA V is going to be night and day better than GTA lV it won't even be funny.

if it recieved below a 9 it will be the biggest flop of the generation... somewhere in San Francisco tom mcshea is salivating over the opportunity to flop GTA

If it recieved that score while SW hypes it AAA, then sure, it's a flop... and GTA V flopping would give me some fine entertainment and laughs after seeing people getting so caught up in anger over two digits on the Internet that the game itself is mostly lost on them (see TLoU and Davekeeh).

I'm not a lem and yes something that isn't a fact and is mostly subjective is hard to admit when you don't share that (subjective) opinion.

But for arguements sake, yes MGS4 scored a 10 and won GOTY here on GS.

TLOU is still a flop on GS, clearly that's hard to stomach for you since you're bringing up an entirely different game from years ago to try and make up for it.

I have hard to believe this game will get under 9.0, and it will get that score just from be named GTA...no matter how bad it can be.

Well one has to realize that Gamespots reviewing strategy has drastically changed since 2008... For instance Pikmin 3 and The Last of Us   TLOU scored 8.0 scores and they were exceptionally brilliant games. an 8.0 score is the equivalent of a 9 score of a few years back. So if GTA:V were to score an 8.5 for instance that would be an acceptable and exceptional score, especially considering The Last of Us which got an 8 and was an exceptional amazing game like GTA:V will be.

Not really. GTA IV was one of the most disappointed experiences I've ever had: a boring, repetitive and uncreative game compared to the rest of the series.

Before the GTA Online Announcement, it was AT LEAST a 9.5.

After the GTA Online Announcemnt, it's a guaranteed 10. There is simply too much value in the game and it'll have free MMO-style online.

It if gets 9.0 or lower on a Metacritic average, then yes, it's a "critical" flop.

I think it'll be one of the fastest-selling games in history as a matter of fact, even WITH the M-Rating.

Hell, even that inconisistent aggregate is against you on this one, TLoU is beaten by UC2, while all PS3 exclusives are beaten by SMG 1&2 on the Wii.

Well I thought GTA4 deserved only a 7.5 or 8, but GTA5 looks like something different And It will definitely be a flop for me if it scores below a 9. But it wont.

If it got a low score on Gamespot I wouldn't call it a flop, because one site's opinion doesn't matter in the real world

If it does bad on Metacritic I will call it a flop

If it didn't meet the hype, then yes.
