I prefer PC but to be fair the 360 has a lot of other good games and doesn't need Halo at this point.

But as its aimed at casuals Halo will sell loads anyway.

not even close. bioshock just hit 1.5 mill. mass effect is releasing in november, gta in october, cod 4 is gonna do amazing come november, prg4 is no doubt a big title. the 360 really doesnt even need halo at this point.

now ps3 needs its big names to do well or its over. if mgs4 doesnt deliver, its over. sorry cow.

Xbox 360 wont flop if Halo flops, the two are completely unrelated.

Xbox 360 will only flop if microsoft doesn't pull thir finger out their ass and do some work. They have never made a profit, and right now the games division is $4bn in the red, and if they haven't made a profit soon there will be no xbox 360sequel.

Halo 3 will be a good game, but unless they have sonething good up their sleeve,it won't have enough new content to give it AAA status. HS showed that hype alone won't do it.

I don't get into all that "quote me on itnonsense". If Mass Effect delivers, I believe it will be GOTY. Bioshock is also a contender, and if Crysis delivers, it will also be a contender.

I thinka surprise contender could be UT3. Even though it has not been talked about much, I do know the SP experience this time around is not going to be the same ladder based format they have always used. It is supposed to be a real sp with a real story. If they can make the sp at least on par with Gears, and with UT's insane online and awesome weapons and vehicles, it could sneak in as a nominee and surprise everyone. Epic is on a roll, so it could happen. I don't know if an FPS can take it though, so I would bank on Mass Effect.

Halo:CE was my fav game last gen, Halo2's mp was amazing and the best on any console

but I think Halo3 might get a 8.5 just a feeling

Halo 3 wont flop. What I can see happening though is a lot of people buying it and then realizing that it's pretty much Halo 2 with new maps and upscaled graphics.

There's a big difference between a game flopping in SW and a game being bad. If Halo 3 scores an 8.5 at GS, it will be pronounced a FLOP and there will be much flaming in SW. But outside of SW, that designation means nothing. An 8.5 would still be a great score and the game would be good.

If the game is crappy and low quality, then yes, the 360 may be a little bit in trouble. But not as much as you think. The 360 has a much better library than the XB did. The XB had Halo plus a few other titles. The 360 already has the best gaming library this gen with Halo 3 not even released yet. That's a big difference.

Depends on flop.If you're talking GS scores then no. So if Halo3 scores an 8.5 here then it flopped based on the hype. But to the gamer and sales it won't flop the console.

If it is salesthen yes it can flop the console as they are expecting Halo3 to move a ton of consoles.

I could say Killzone 2 will just be Killzone with updated graphics; but that doesn't make it true. Killzone sucked arse anyway, so we all better hope that isn't true :)

If Halo 3 flops on GS score wise? If that's what you're asking, no it wont stop it from being the system seller it is.

I'm going to disagree. I stand by my initial claims that Halo has become irrelevant and depsite the hype, Halo 3 will disappoint most honest people and will mark the downfall of the series.

Then again, I've never understood what the hype was about in the first place. ALl I know NOW is that with Bioshock so fresh in people's minds, and Mass Effect right around the corner, Halo 3 is sure to disappoint.
