Well Halo is the biggest game for the system, but even if it flops in terms of scores, everbody and their dog will still pick it up. Its pedigree and the tens of milions of dollars Microsoft is spending on marketing ensure that. I'll guess 8 million sold over the xbox's lifetime, and 150 M in sales in its first week.
You're right...if Halo 3 is the only game for the 360. Unfortunately for you, there a lot of great games this holiday season and beyond to attract people to buy a 360.

There's an Official Halo 3 thread sticky. I think you should all post there. This Halo 3 hyping and bashing (especially the hyping) is getting ridiculous.

Did Bungie manufacture the 360? No.
Does pulling off AAA status matter anywhere outside of this forum? No.
i have a feeling that if Halo 3 flops then this forum would get so over flooded with threads varying from "LAMALMALMALMALMA FLOP LOLAOLALMAALAM" to "HALO 3 = FLOP ALLAMALMALMLAMALMALM LEMMINGS R FLOP LOLO!LO!L!O!OLOL!O!LOL!!L" that gamespot and the whole internet would just implode.

why?.. you say the weirdest things Rangitahi... If Halo3 flops it will be a blow, sure. but there are lots of games and the 360 allready sold million and millions before HAlo3.
If we were talking the original Xbox, maybe, but not the 360. The 360 has the best library of games at the moment, the games just need to appeal to a broader audience and slowly but surely it's coming together. Superior multiplats are the greatest benefit in my eyes.

because it shows the hardware's limitations instead of being a benchmark title that shows its capabillities. simple really.
If Halo 3 flops? Where? On GS? I got news for you, millions of people are going to buy the game and enjoy it regardless of what it scores here. Even if the MP is basically the same as Halo 2 (which multiple videos show it's been significantly improved) people will be happy and it will go on to become one of the most played online games for the 360. If Halo 3 flops the only people who will care will be the SW posters.
