If Halo Reach is Next Years Big Xmas Title, then is GeoW3 going to be for 720?

Since I don't expect to see a new Xbox until (at least) 2012, I firmly believe Gears3 will be an X360 game.

Despite what some believe, MS isn't going to launch a new console anytime soon.

With all of this Project Natal stuff announced, it looks as if Microsoft will be supporting the 360 for much long than simply two more years. The 360 will probably still get a Gears 3.

Depends on when each game comes out. I can easily see Reach coming out in the slow months (April-June) and Gears3 coming out in Nov.

id rather they finish the trilogy on the 360 and start fresh on the next console.

Fable, PGR, maybe a Rare franchise would be the counterpart.

*sigh* Gears, Halo, Gears, Halo, Gears+Halo. I love my gears and halo but it seems as if MS just keeps on relying with one or the other each year as their main dish. I dont see how they expect to push more consoles like that.

I personally hope we finish the GeoW arc on one console. Im expecting to be a late adopter next gen and want to play it straight away.

I can see it happening. Similar to how Halo 1&2 we're on the first Xbox, with 3 being on the 360. Gears 3 will be on the 720 and probably be what Halo 3 was to the 360.

While I agree, it won't make a difference.

Unless most people pretend to hate Halo (which is the case) they won't hurt each others sales. Halo fans will get Halo and Gears fans will get Gears, not many people actually like both and for those who do, most are 18 or older and have a job so they'll be able to get both anyway.

Unless Epic actually releases a beta, I don't plan on getting Gears 3. If they won't release a beta, atleast fix the melee system. It's the most powerful thing in the game, why even add guns?

True, but that's assuming Reach will launch on time. It could get pushed back. Same for Gears3

What the...I would love to play GeoW3 tomorrow, bro.

This is about using what we have learned about the Xbox Division, and speculating on what we think will actually happen, NOT what I actually want. It would be dandy if the 720 doesn't come out until 2014 with the PS4 and WiiWii in 2014, but I don't think that will happen at all.

This is about what I do think will happen, and what YOU might think would happen.

People in my situation who bought a next gen system 3 going 4 years ago don't want to wait until 2012 let alone 2014 for a new console. It is the people who bought one a few months ago who want the 2014 release date.

I made the mistake last gen and bought an Xbox a year before the 360 was released. Had no idea that they were going to announce a new console at e3.

Thats why I bought a 360 so soon after launch. Im crossing my fingers for a 2011 start for next gen.
