oh no you don't, the hype this game is getting, the way sony fans are salivating at the mouth for this game! I don't blame them for hyping it, but none of you better come in here saying that you expect this game to get anything below a 9. way too much hype for the last few years for sony fans to start acting like its no big deal.

I would say yes. Since all you heard about for the past 3 years has been KZ2, MGS4 and FFXIII.

They can't back down from the hype now. To many Sony fanboys have risen the hype on this game lately.

holy cow, where have you been for the last 3 years? this game has been hyped since that first CGI video everyone saw, everyone lost their minds. too many years, money and work and hype has been put into this game for it to be an 8.5, granted thats a fantastic score, but with all the sony cell, b-ray hype, I expect nothing but the best, sony themselves said they would blow everything out of the water when the ps3 launched, 8.5's as good as that is, is not blowing anything out of the water.

understand, if this game scores anything below Halo3, MS fans will lose their minds and start sharpening their killing tools, just for PS3 fans.

Yes because we all know since the first one sucked this one will suck and yet this game has a much bigger team making it and a better budget too yes we all know its gonna flop harder then the first game :roll:

There is so much hype surrounding KZ2 I think a 9.0 would be considered good but lackluster and not worth the hype. 8.5 is a flop indefinitely. With the amount of hype around the game at least a 9.5 is expected.MadExponent

I would be extremely happy with that score from Gamespot. Remember ..... the majority of media seem to still see Killzone as a mediocre franchise form a mediocre developer with undeserved hype so it carries a lot of baggage whether it is going to be great or not ..... and most will be looking for reasons to tear it apart just because it's Killzone , and that is just keeping it real. The standards leveled against it will be extremely high so I would think that even great scores for this game from the skeptics will be quite telling.

remember a flop doesnt mean a bad game in system wars, just failed to meet the hype, games that flop can still be really great games, Like mass effect for the 360

I don't believe this, the game is not out and you are already coming up with excuses why it might now score high? if this game rocks, the scores will say so, I refuse to think reviewers have already knocked points off this game just because the first one sucked.

I really like LBP. I think it deserves it's hype. So much fun to be had with that game. I just hope they release free content to build new levels. Or I would be upset.

I agree. the only thing is this.

sony has been pushing technology with cell, b-ray and all that jazz. after all they hype sony has been feeding the gaming world, I think the PS3 community deserves more than 8's and 8.5's from games that take so damn long to make.

if GT5 launches in 2010? I hope they don't hand Sony fans an 8.5 game. you guys deserve better than that. I know I'm being hard on Sony, but when you promise domination, I expect domination.

more MGS games, more GTA games please. :)

I really like LBP. I think it deserves it's hype. So much fun to be had with that game. I just hope they release free content to build new levels. Or I would be upset.

I have to agree that LBP looks like it will be incredible and I believe that it will score AAA, maybe AAAA. Yeah I'm hyping it, but the game looks cool and its really innovative.

I do understand what you are saying, but in the end, if the game deserves great scores, I believe it will get it. well, at least I hope so.

in the end, if you guys pick it up and enjoy it, regardless of the score than good for you.

the outfit was one game that didn't get any love, not in killzones pedigree I guess if killzone has one, but regardless, I got it and loved it.

so hopefully it will be the same for PS3 owners regardless if it gets great scores or not.

i see your point, the cows are being Uber cautious with the game right now, but i do think that when we get nearer their instincts will take over and we will see 9 and even 10 hype. personally i think 8.0 is a safe bet, solid but uninspired.
