The game is going to get called a flop no matter what. Anything less than a 9.8 will be called a flop by lemmings. And it makes no difference what the "official hype thred" says, because those threads have CALLED games in the past and still get labelled a flop.

The official thread that tracks this will be the judge, but there will be serious cownage if it gets less than a 9. This game has been hyped since the fake CGI trailer at E3.

But I expect the official thread to be gamed by cows saying 7.5 or 8 to lower the expected score and lemmings saying 10 to raise the bar. But truth be told there aren't any cows (at least not any speaking out loudly) against cows that are claiming KZ2 is going to own. So yes there will be serious ownage when KZ2 gets rated. either lems get owned or cows.

From my perspective , this is what I have seen so far. I am just an observer , not a mod or anti-cow kid with an agenda. Make of it what you will.

From the majority cows , ps3 supporters , and regular manticores , they are expecting a good/great game at the very least ..... much better than the first for sure under the first party studios. There is still a large percentage of people who do not think it will be great and don't want to talk about it and just watnt to wait and see , I guess nobody ever sees those people , they are too busy trying to bag themselves a -Renegade if you catch my drift. Just because a game flops doesn't mean its bad. It just means it fails to meet hype. If we all hyped a game AAAA and it scored a 9.5 are we really going to say its bad just because it flopped?

I'm entirely aware that it's possible to get excited for a game without hyping it to hell and back (I'm doing it for Fable 2). However, when you're comparing a game to Halo and Gears of War, you're most likely hyping it AAA. When the innocent cows who are just getting excited start shouting down anyone who says the game might not be all it's cracked up to be, or scream "lacks credibility" at any small time website not writing rave previews for the game, you're getting into AAA territory.

Now, you might be under the impression that Casey and I are biased. Frankly, I don't care. But there are plenty of people who see the Killzone 2 threads and feel the same way. From our perspective, the hype is AAA. And tbh, I fail to see why your opinion holds any more weight than mine.

I honestly couldn't care less what KZ2 scores, I hope it gets 10 and everyone has a blast. But in SW thats not how things works, this is SYSTEM WARS, and things are ****** up and its supposed to be a laugh, unfortunately some people take it deathly seriously. In SW if cows post continual threads about KZ2 being AAA, being better than GeoW2, etc then its hype is AAA. If you don't agree, make some threads, or in those threads say they are being unreasonable. You see plenty of conflict about too human in its threads, or fallout, or fable 2, as examples, but you never see cows saying "hold on a minute this might not be so great" in threads about KZ2 or LBP. I agree that KZ2 might not be AAA but its not me you need to tell to stop hyping every screenshot.

Sony knows the importance of this title. The development time. The release delays. Lessons learned from Lair. Those are just some of the reasons I think this game will score very well. This is one of the most important titles for Sony. This is their Halo. Their Gears. There is just too much at stake for them to let this slip.

I don't own a PS3 yet. However, if KZ2 does well I will seriously consider adding the system to my collection. I have been waiting for exclusive quality games like this to justify the purchase.

I say keep the threads coming , it still doesn't mean AAA hype neccessarily. The only ones who can't take it are the guys who are jealous of the attention and are begging for it to be hyped AAA so they can get their "ownage" whether it is really hyped AAA that are not.

You claim that Lems were still spouting "AAA!" over MGS4 when it came out, yet Cows were spouting that R:FOM was better than GeoW when it came out. I have seen practically seen Zero hype for GeoW2 compared to the Hype fest that is KZ2..

Cows need to be realistic about this. KZ2 is treading the path of flop, and GeoW2 looks like a much stronger contender than KZ2. KZ2 practically flopped for PS2. It had mega media coverage, score predictions in the 9-10 Zone which is what we are seeing with KZ2 aswell.

+ Geurilla are a poor studio. Epic have UT under their belt. The only high profile game that Guerilla have developed on - Killzone - was a total flop.

My prediction is for GeoW2 to take KZ2 down without breaking a sweat.

Lemmings were saying that MGS4 wasn't going to score higher than a 9.0 even some were saying 7s or lower. But there still here posting even after saying they would leave if MGS4 was a AAA.

And no one is stating that Geow2 is going to be AAA? Look at the posts prior to ours lol dang. Lemmings are not hyping AAA cause they feel its already understood that it will be. I think sometimes some of those scores just came to easy for the 360 and this just goes to show that. No hype just automatically assumes AAA for Geow2, thats almost scary lol. And from the looks of the game it should be scary to assume AAA, for basically the same game as the 1st with a new coat of paint. So I do hope they made big steps in the story or else it may have issues. Just my oppinion. And don't get me wrong it is the only game that the 360 has that makes me want to get a 360.

I guess Mass Effect didn't flop then, because cows said it was downgraded and were sure it wouldn't be AAA.

And I suppose Halo 3 was only hyped AA, because hermits and cows find the Halo series to be overrated.
