[QUOTE="stylesPS3"] sure they can i believe you. NO. ppl with average specs cant even produce 360 graphics let alone ps3. you need higher end specs to get them.stylesPS3

My now 3 year old computer can produce 360 graphics, and it only has 2 GB of RAM, a C2D @ 2.13Ghz, and a nVidia Geforce 7900 GS.

thats funny, because one of my comps has the same ram, better C2D cpu, and Better nVidia GeForce and it doesnt even produce half as good as 360 or ps3 graphics. couldnt even play silent hill 3 on it without lowering the settings. lmao thanks for clearing that up.

I'm sorry but I really don't believe you, please post your specs (specifically your GPU type). EDIT: I got Crysis (yes CRYSIS) to run on Medium with some settings (like two) on high at 20-25 FPS.....

What kinda mess did you do to your PC? Back before I upgraded mine, I could run most games maxed out(including 1080p resolution and 8xAA). Now that I have upgraded it, my PC can outshine both of the systems and it still doesn't have crazy high specs.

Plz. and im planning on getting crysis i will try it out on that comp with medium settings to see if these medium settings look better then 360/PS3 graphics. or if they even run.

Yall hermits and fanboys in here never fail to surprise me. Oooh KZ2 doesn't have physics, oooh KZ2 wouldn't take much to run for a pc, oooh KZ2 isn't nothing but a corridor shooter. But yet when discussing its graphics the only pc game that comes to mind to compare it to is CRYSIS lol. Even Arma 2 one you get past the enviroment (like Crysis) KZ2 can hold its own. Remember when motion blur and lens flare was once praised in Crysis, well KZ2's use of it blows Crysis away. Also Particle effects, and animations kill Crysis. The amount of weather effects and enviromental effects in KZ2 kills Crysis.

If yall think yall are giving any where near the specs that a pc would have to have to play it, yall are crazy. Sorry but what was the last pc game that ran with 512meg of Ram, and have 256 meg video card? Bottom line is that its not even comparable to what most of you fanboys say. But I would definitly say pc wise you would need atleast 2gb of ram, and atleast a 8800 series card or a 4700 series ati to get everything rolling, maybe higher.

But the best part is for yall guys is that you will never have to worry about what specs you'll need for your pc to play KZ2.

Oh yea Bloom for the win in Arma 2 lol.

well i ran WOW with maxed out settings on it, but i hardly consider those graphics as good as ps3/360.

Whatever the required specification would be it wouldn't reflect all gamers, they would be tweaking the config settings to improve the object popping distance.

Garbage on the floor shouldn't be distance popping in the same room the player is currently in.

then this would be all that pc users talk about. it probably wouldn't require too much to run well, even with the graphical effects. on the plus side, it would have a better community. and outside of sw, it would've never been mentioned.

look how gta4 turned out on pc, lol.

you would need the next-gen pc gpu/cpu in order to run KZ2. The only thing today's pc would be able to do with kz2 is display higher res and textures but it wont be able to run, maybe 3-6 frames per second.

[QUOTE="stylesPS3"] lol at changing from high end tech to "inexpensive". yes you could find alot of things cheap, that doesnt change the spec.stylesPS3

average gamer spec

then im guessing we disagree about the average gamer spec, because i certainly dont think the average pc gamer has an 8600gt or higher. ALOT of pc gamers just play with whatever the graphic result is without caring. you need to realize this, not everyone upgrades.

Whatever dude. The bottom line is any current videocard will Killzone 2 with no problem. You wouldnt need a high end card to run a game that already runs on a 3 year old GPU. This is pretty obvious. That is to everyone but you. But that's your problem.

[QUOTE="Im_single"]ITT: A lot of people talking out of their ass. A PS3's GPU cannot be compared to a GPU in a PC with similar specs, same goes for every part of a console compared to a PC, you can never compare them directly, the PS3 having a 7900 equivalent GPU inside it means squat, less than squat actually. We'll never know what kind of hardware you would need to run KZ2 on a PC and it is fruitless even guessing.

you can optimized and optimized and optimized and spend 4-5 years developing a game on a standard hardware like ps3 but the fact is that you cant produce graphics with a hardware designed in 2004-2005 equal to an average gaming vga like the 8800gt thats about 3x more powerfull than the ps3.

Muzzle flash effects usually look like ass because you only seem them for a split second.

All the other particle effect in Crysis look great (especially explosions)

I wasn't talking about muzzle flash I was talking about particle effects, such as that wood chipping away from the hut, in which just dissappears in mid air. All particles do that in the game. They don't have PHYSICS and mass like they do in KZ2 where they actually bounce off of the floor. I'll post another shot of the particles in just a second.

Also the one with the humvee, it barely moves when the explosion takes place. And every spark you see and piece of the humvee in the air you see disappears prior to hitting the ground or just when fixing to hit the ground. Another words its clipping the effect.

thats right, IF. but min. specs, which is what the thread is asking for would not. yet there are alot of people here making it seem like it would. thats the only reason i even commented in this "hypothetical thread". otherwise its just useless.

KZ 2 would be very fun on PC. Stop acting like you don't care, it's a pretty good quality FPS. It's not incredibly different in many areas, but I like how it's a different style with the control, weight, and aiming of eveything.

You will now be discredited. Thanks for trying.

First of all, Slow Mo Video of Warhead, you say it has bad particles? this is a custom config, you can see the sparks flying off the helmets of soldiers you shoot. You can see the explosion of the APC.

Provided they optimized the game for PC, any current gen rig would run it perfectly well on Max settings. I'd say 2GB of Ram recommended, an 8600 videocard or higher, and a Dual Core 2.5-2.8 ghz CPU to max it out.

It's probably for performance reasons.

Everything else is effected by physics, and Crysis is on a much larger scale than most FPS's, so they figured that nobody would notice that some minor particle effects weren't effected by physics.

Also a mass amounts of those particle are going through walls in that one section lol. And is that your vid? Do you know if that was a mod or not? That one big explosion he turns away prior to seeing if anything was actually bouncing off of the ground or just clipping out. Sparks is one thing, but to actually impliment physics with the particles bouncing around the floor is another story.

IF it were on PC, at least there'd be an option to disable motion blur. MB is the main reason I didn't like the demo.

To stay on-topic, I don't know what kind of requirements it'd have.

Both games have object motion blur, and with Crysis you can adjust the intensity, so I really don't see how it's in any way inferior to KZ2's blur.

I guess the game never ends. Guess what? The PS3 has crap hardware, end of story. You have nothing to say, just stop talking. Don't say anything, not even a word. No screens, nothing. Face the facts. If Killzone 2, or any game, can run on a PS3, then it WILL, beyond any reasonable doubt, run 10 times better on a decent PC. This is simply irrefutable, sorry.

CPU - 2.4GHZ Dual Core

GPU - Maybe an 8800GT or something

I gotta just laugh at people trying to compare Killzone 2 to Crysis. It's really embarrasing. First of all the only reason KZ2 can pull off those effects is because they use a small FOV. KZ 2 is rendering everything in a smaller space. AND at a lower resolution.

Crysis in DX10 mode with ultra settings obliterates everything right now. While it's true not many PCs can run it, the fact of the matter is Crysis can run at those resolutions and Killzone 2 cannot. End of story.

Wow, don't think no one said anything about KZ2 not running on a pc or if it could run better on PC, the discussion is what kind of hardware specs you would need. And then the fanboys come in here saying all you need is a pc with a atari video card and you could run it lol. And crappy hardware on the ps3 is laughable. Once again show me a game on pc that looks like KZ2 and runs with 512 mb of ram, actually 256 for gpu and 256 actuall ram for a total of 512mb. If you came in here with a pc with those stats you would be laughed out of here. And to the other guy saying object motion blur, I don't care about words such as that or hdr. I care about the final outcome, and the final outcome is what counts. KZ2's motion blur looks more true to life. Also when zooming in with crysis with how they tried to use fov, while KZ2's use of fov once again looks more true to life.

the video is warhead, the screens are crysis. eternity? i don't know about you but i saw the sparks disapearing, he has to turn around because he's being shot at, or were you too busy NOT SEEING ANYTHING to notice that? That video isn't mine, it's from LowStrife from Overclock.net, and trust me, if you ever claimed anything bad around there, you wold have a 10 thread page filled with ownage
